What are you worried about with the campaign? The thing I'm a bit anxious about is how well they handle these open areas where you explore on the skiff. Will there be things to explore and find? Or is it just a way to pad the game going from location to location. Will it be a hub semi open world like GoW or a bit more linear with some open areas like Tomb raider?
As for the actual story, I'm intrigued to see what they do with Kait and her ties with the locust and su...
How? You dont need to sign up for their monthly sub. You can use the free account to still buy games. How would it cost more than Xbox / PS when you need to pay for Plus or Live to play online as well as buy the games and also pay for Now or GamePass/Xcloud if you want to have a subscription library?
Its just an observation, has nothing to do with Xbox. The problem is pretty common. The game looks fantastic.

DOOM is guaranteed to be an action packed good time. Death Stranding however has a lot to prove still because the gameplay so far looks kind of bland. I'm sure the story will be far better than DOOM's though.
It is gorgeous but you can clearly see plants coming up through the rocks. It's a pretty common clipping issue for most games.
Edit: I was referring to the cover image for the article. The other pic in the article of that barren volcanic rock looking area looks amazing.
Yep, I finally bought a new MH because of that. I love the game, but hated playing it on tiny handhelds.
I can't wait! Love me some Gears MP

The resource gathering and base management are handled VERY differently in each one of these games. You aren't just collecting some random items and doing missions to build rep like in Days Gone. You actually need to build settlements and provide them with food, shelter, beds, water etc.
The settlements are also not safe zones and can be raided anytime by a horde. Perks and stats are upgradable, but also extremely varied between characters. Y...
So you're telling me I need to go buy a $70 controller just to match the comfortability of other consoles that have a gamepad packaged in? The Pro should have been included with the Switch if they really wanted to sell this thing as a true console/handheld hybrid.
State of Decays main feature isn't the zombies though. The only thing unique about Days Gone were the zombies, so that was its focus.
State of Decay has crafting, resource gathering, base building, settlement managing, multiple characters with their own perks and stats, perma death, co-op, multiple vehicles that you can upgrade... Sure Days Gone has a better narrative and it's obviously better looking, but it's a pretty standard open world action adventure game ...

You can disagree with Noctis without being a condescending ass. I don't even typically agree with his defense of Nintendo most of the time. I agree that the Switch is lacking severely in 90% of the big AAA games and the majority of the Switch library just doesn't appeal to me, but you don't have to be a cunt about it.
Yeah their last good controller was Gamecube. The Wii U tablet wasn't terrible, and generally I do like the Switch joycons, but I had to buy a 3rd party peripheral to make it more comfortable and if you use them by themselves it is painful after a while. And for some reason Nintendo STILL doesnt use analog triggers in their controllers. Even the "Pro" controller doesn't have them.
They still aren't all that comfortable. Also it only adds 2 shoulder buttons. Most modern controllers have the shoulder and triggers.
Lol I swear, somehow the tiniest insignificant things Nintendo does always gets praised. We are praising that the Joycons have shoulder buttons? Oh cool... we have been using them in all the games already. My issue with that is how awkward it is to press them because joycons aren't exactly comfortable to play on if you have bigger hands.
Well, that's the cost of playing on older worse hardware.
Where does that leave them? it leaves them with being able to play the same game, but with less visual flair... That's kinda how it works when games span new and old hardware.
I can't imagine they wont have a Scarlett update that will increase resolution, texture detail, and frame rates. Much like they did with the native 4k update for Gears 4 on the X.
Map looks great. I'm assuming this will be the first map they release the Versus beta with on the 17th?
