Kids will, uhhh, find a way.
That's why for the most part I hardly pay attention to the large outlets. They are typically ran and governed by a corporation and will always have a slant just like any other big news source out there.
I usually like to look at the smaller sites for less politically charged reviews. The writing may not be as good since they're likely not paid professional writers/"journalists" ;, but they're less likely to make a big deal about what color skin or gende...
Garbage bin? I kid, but honestly, outside of the remakes for the nostalgia I cant imagine a new entry being all that great.
Great work, that guy is very talented.
Perfect summation of Gears. But even in E-League you have a lot of player who specialize in other weapons, you can find sniper compilations for Gears 5 already from the E-league. The difference with Gears is since you always push forward, using cover, and wall bouncing. Once enemies come close, the shotgun is necessary. There are other options, but in E-League you rarely see them because these players have gotten so good with the shotgun because it is surgical.
Wrong video, but still a good one haha
@Meka
Lol how ironic is your statement?
"How about stop policing people and let them make their own decisions."
Um, so should Rod go back through his game and add smoking to it? There was never smoking in the game, there was no censorship or removal. You're literally telling The Coalition that "their own decision" to make a game with no smoking is wrong. There was no government involved here. Calm down
No one would have even noticed haha just like Gears 4. Was there a single person who asked why none of the characters in that game weren't smoking? No. It's just something stupid to foster fake outrage about something. I was at first against this because the original story made it seem like the anti smoking org was forcing The Coalition to remove all smoking, but now his clarification and reasonings makes sense and not a big deal at all.
Well I'm glad they took their time so they can create their new engine for the series moving forward. This first title may not push the engine to its limits, but its surely capable of showing off the new consoles power at launch.
Now lets hope they can fix the story a bit and give us some more open levels to explore, also dial back on all the mechanics a bit. We don't need ADS and dashing and such.
Apparently he has been ridding smoking from Gears since Gears 2. Dizzy originally had a cigar, but in game it was a piece of straw.
If it's the creative directors choice and he wasn't forced by an outside organization then I dont see a problem with it. The original story made it seem like the anti smoking organization got involved and they had to go back and remove all smoking. But like Rod said, you cant remove or censor something that was never in the game in the ...
If it wasn't meant to make it sound bad by using fifa and Andromeda as a reference, then why not use the other good games they worked on?
AC Odyssey, COD blops4, R6Siege, Mortal Kombat, injustice 2, quantum break... why only cherry pick two of the worst? I think you know why.
"It should be noted that the main base of the animations will continue to be the responsibility of 343 Industries and that this collaboration would only be additional support. "
Well you can't say they haven't backed it up until the time they said they were going to back it up.
I dont agree with censoring, but removing a couple references to smoking that are found in the books and stuff because the creative director doesnt like it is like on the smallest worries of SJW activity... in fact, the Gears panel lit up a guy who was asking what Kaits sexual preference was.
Honestly I think there is more to be intrigued about than worried. The fact they confirmed more open areas where we will need to use that skiff. That info alone is a big departure from the original gears formula.
I guess you could be worried if these changes will be beneficial, but the writer doesn't go into any of that. They think that just because they have ent shown off the campaign means they are hiding it.
We have already seen with the Versus and...
Yeah I wish I could see and play it right now, but they caught flak with showing too much with Gears 4 so I'm okay with them keeping more under wraps.
Plus, like you said, they are emphasizing the fact they will be taking more creative license with this Gears and doing some new stuff. They already showed and talked about bigger areas where we will need to use the skiff so that's already a fairly big change to the series. I'm hoping them being quiet is a sign th...
Gears 4 showed off way too much before release and fans didnt like that. Now that Gears 5 is staying closed to not ruin some things people are complaining.
And that Kait trailer was not silly, there was actually a lot in it, a lot hinting at story elements if you pay attention to it.
Gears 1 was fantastic, but the series has moved away from that dark horror ever since Gears 3.
I typically like Cog Connected but this was a poorly made article based on nothing but a hunch that a Gears demo got cut from the e3 conference and that Escape didn't immediately resonate with him...
"Again, this is all completely baseless speculation." Yep. Created just to garner clicks on the day they are showing off versus on the first day of the Gears 5 Esports Summer League.
Lol what have you heard that isnt promising? They haven't even shown or talked much about the story stuff. They barely just today showed off the versus with the new escalation rules which sounds fantastic. The Escape mode may not take off like Horde did, but it still looks like a fun mode with a map creator.
New modes, refined gameplay, no lootboxes, tons of unlockables that aren't tied to MT's, a story mode that is promising to be the largest and most unique of...
Yes, but when you have some outlets who will skew the total score because they feel a main character shouldnt be a white Male then that isnt a good reason to drop the meta score.
