Really disappointed with this, just another social game. It’s so excluding for people who have busy lives, I have to coordinate and work with people 60+hours a week, I definitely don’t play games to have to deal with that any further. Multiplayer is just exhausting and feels like more work.
I know you can just not play it, which I won’t. But that’s why it’s so disappointing, because I wanted to play it and I love BioWare titles.
The most interesting thing was given the least amount of time, Star Wars. Waste of a show and made me realise how little EA has outside of sports.
Should have made Star Wars a non-exclusive license, just require collaboration with Lucas.
Tomorrow is far more exciting though!

It’d be cool to see Kratos get pummeled by Thor with his hammer left on his chest, Leviathan taken and Atreus kidnapped in the opening moments, then years pass and something happens which liberates Kratos but now he has to look for his son who has been completely turned and manipulated by Odin/Thor while living in Asgard.

Before I miss the chance to inform, Atreus’ change in behaviour during that “sequence” was the work of Odin! Everyone keeps going on about how they didn’t like his sudden shift but he was being manipulated through Vanir magic. The storm in the sky during that part was supposed to be indicative of Odin’s presence and interference to their journey.
I can’t find the source for where I originally read that Odin would be in the game under the guise of a storm, but it’s definitel...
The sweet spot, I just hope to god they don’t go cheap on the CPU next gen, it needs to be the central focus to make those breakthrough game features. This gen was all about getting visuals up to speed, next gen will be about everything else.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is 100% a PS5 title. God of War 2 will be a PS5 title if they want it to be bigger and more interactive. The current one really pushed the PS4 to it’s limits.
This is the definition of gaming to me, beautifully created wide-linear single player games with powerful storytelling and incredible art and visuals. It’s exciting to think of what a company like SSM could do with the Star Wars IP, and depressing to remember that EA has exclusive rights to it.
Don’t tell EA this, these types of games don’t sell. Wahhhh we’re not making any money without these new exploitive practices, I’m only on twenty mil a year. Wahhhhh. A lot of IPs go...

Well I can definitely understand your tempered expectations because of how you felt playing the Ratchet and Clank reboot. Funny enough though, that reboot was my first Ratchet game and I loved it. It’s actually what got me more amped up for this!
I love the focus on never losing the rhythm of traversal. The high quality motion blur and lighting along with the wide palette of colours used at any spot in New York makes the game look so damn captivating and easy on the eyes.You can immediately tell a hell of a lot more time and effort has been put into making NY and its environments interesting instead of just copy pasting blocks of grey blobs around the place. I could give a s*%# about resolution for next gen, simulation and streaming are so important to revolutionise this format and are ignored by gamers because *shrieking 3 year old tantrum sounds* I WANT MY 4K 60FPSAGHHHHGAH.
As long as that mindset continues we’re going to get nowhere fast. Look at PC’s with far more powerful GPUs, the games don’t fundamentally play any differently because they’re just supercharged versions of what’s available on consoles.

I believe they’ve fixed that with the recent software update by offering super sampling for 2k displays. Correct me if I’m wrong but I swore I saw that in a DF video.
Can't say I entirely agree here, cigarette and tobacco display bans, gun laws and consumer law in Australia have all had significant positive impacts on protecting the health and safety of citizens.
Perhaps introducing legislation to block marketing of MT/Loot box heavy games and their display on store shelves may be all it takes.
Imagine how Disney would feel if they couldn't advertise Star Wars.
