A bad release shouldn't mean the end of a franchise. It should mean restructuring the Dev's employees, firing a bunch of useless people and getting some real talent and hard workers in to make the next title.

So much PC b****** deeply rooted in modern culture that the only way it could hit shelves is without an announcement and no gameplay reveal. That way it's harder for gutter trash minority groups to protest its availability because they're offended by the concept of bullying.
It can be pointless for certain aspects of content. I know DF has said that YouTube is still useful for still and zoomed in comparison shots in 4k format with the best bitrate possible. However, this is ripped from the live stream. Still great info, not great picture quality unfortunately.
720p stream makes this article pointless, the only thing I could get from this is that the X1X is also suffering from frame pacing issues as well. Must be an issue with their engine. Hopefully the framerate is at least more stable.
Also can't believe how different it looks without HDR, obviously the X1X will support it but YouTube streams don't show it. It really brings the world to life on PS4 Pro.

It's not a big difference, although I know that it reduces distortion of picture in motion. Sort of like interlaced imagery vs progressive.
A stable framerate without judder would be a huge difference compared to PS4 Pro, as I know that version is plagued with it because of Digital Foundry and finishing myself on Pro.

I'd normally be 100% on the 2020 date, but these mid-gen upgrades made me consider a longer a life span. I could be wrong, but you never know.

TBH I'm glad he's starting a new world, I wasn't there at the beginning of MG and that franchise is too huge and hard (title of Kojima's sex tape) for me to follow now. Something fresh is exciting and makes it easy to invest in from the beginning.

Not even kidding but I saw one extra bush on the Xbox One X lol, at the moment they look identical but there might be improvements elsewhere, we'll have to see some footage. X1X might have a much more stable frame rate. It might operating at a native res as well, instead of checkerboarding.
It's still a bit clunky, needs 4k panels to increase clarity and integrated head tracking with wireless functionality, if you can sit it in bed with two hand controllers and play comfortably, then we're there.
It's not bad at the moment, just not there yet. I bought a PSVR and thought it was great but agree with you on the mini game/Wii sports feel of the titles.

I wonder if we won't see next gen now until 2021-22 until the cost is feasible for a true next gen experience. An uptick is resolution/frame rate doesn't count so much as dynamic/reactive environments, lighting and all round higher poly mesh models on everything. I also expect BGE2 and GTA VI to possibly be titles that sell the next gen world in terms of seamless exploration and freedom.

Tried to buy it around Point Cook/Werribee Victoria Australia, but everyone was sold out except EB Games/GameStop but they were full RRP and won't price match to anyone else if they're out of stock. So I just bought it on PSN instead because f*** those guys.
