Makes sense, seeing that Sony isn't producing the 60 gigs anymore, and don't want to have 3 models, they'll move to 80 gig model. However I think you won't see this lanuched, with a new price till a big game comes out, like MGS 4?

However I think even if the title is reviewed good, it's going to suffer from a post christmas launch. Alot of people are going to have some bills, bills, bills then, after getting all the games during Christmas period, or consoles, gifts, etc. And might not have money to purchase Haze then. Generally you see Jan. be the "slowest/lowest" period in terms of sales. Hopefully Haze and other titles do not suffer from it though...

Umm you do realize in 1 week, PS3 UTIII sales out sold UTIII sales on PC. And this game was born on the PC, and is made for PC more so than consoles, especially with all it's mod capabilities.
As well, there has been zero advertisement, I guess epic was hoping for Word of mouth, and reviews to get the word out.

Another thing lost in all this is, the resurgence of PS2, it can possibly outsell all consoles globally except maybe the Wii (This includes 360 and Ps3).
That's pretty damn impressive for a 7 year old console. My question is how is it selling so well, there are already 120+ million owners, are there still more people to sell to? Or are some people re-buying it? Maybe some people are buying 40 gig ps3 and Ps2 Slim combo?

OR a better example PES 08, it's doing well over in Japan, and Europe, and not so well in the Americas, partly due to Soccer games not appealing to the american audience. So Konami, won't be like hmm 360 sold 10 million in America, therefore PES will do well on that system.

I agree, whats up with PS3 owners. Uncharted is one of the best games on the console, it should be doing better. It deserves better. It should be out selling Mass effect atleast.
I was just going to post that. SO Europe got about 400 K Wii, and Americas got about 175 K, that doesn't make sense at all.
Not really considering Ps3 outsells 360 in europe and Japan, my other new report (Not including Japan) shows 360 has about 50K lead over Ps3, and then if you include the Japan numbers, that obviously skrinks significantly, to almost selling on par to one another.
Hopefully I don't get slack for this news story as for the worldwide number, honest mistake, I didn't know it didn't include the japanese numbers.

360 still has more install base in Europe, than PS3. This is global sales, and last time I checked 360 has 2x more the install base than PS3.
Then explain Need for Speed series, globally 360 is about 10 K in more sales at this point than PS3, basically the same.
I think what it shows, or atleast in my opinion 360 has a big hardcore owner base, in which they tend to enjoy games like FPS, it's no coincidence that 360 has nearly 2 million ...

It has little to do with people speaking english or not, it has more to do with the games that appeal to these people. UK is alot like North America, in that they like FPS type games, and well there is no other system out to this date, that can match the quality FPS as the 360.
That is why in the likes France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Japan, etc. 360 is getting out sold, not because they don't speak english, or whatever, more so they like other type of games (That aren't FPS as ...
I think the reason car manufactures are tigheter with Yamauchi and GT series is, more people in the racing world know about it, than Forza atleast currently.
And more importantly, they know he wants to be exactly right, so if they allowed him to do his vision, you'd see cars that slam into a wall at over 100 MPH, be basically destoryed, and Not drivable. Which would also for alot of not true Sim fans, make the game frustrating.
But I hope he can put some option...

Wow I can't believe how many people are complainning about an update where the users gets more features. Yes it's not XMB, but you just got support for DIVX, the ability to play .wmv movie files, and the FIRST blu-ray player on the market that can handle 1.1 Profile. Which is ironic as it's the cheapest blu-ray player, and the first or one of the first blu-ray player on the market (oldest).

I believe Lost Odyssey sold 60 K in 1 week, not 1 day. And Appearently according to VG chartz GT Prologue sold 50 K in 1 day.
So it's likely that when the week is done, GT Prologue will atleast sell 75K or more.
