Really not a bad list, only one thing takes away from it and that is the flip-side of things, which is PC enables so much of what an XONE does, and for cheaper usually. Eventually I can see Micro, for better or worse, completely marrying the two gaming ecosystems into one.
"Sony and other third party developers uses a rather..."
USE, not uses.
Crush him and throw him into the wind!

They may not write great stories, but they haven't been "bad" if I recall correctly, at least the story never negatively impacted the gameplay aspect of their games. Now a richer story might very-well ENHANCE the game for the better, but I will take great gameplay, polish and fun over story, if only due to the fact that I can easily imagine my own story when I am playing almost any game. One of the very reasons RPGs are so popular, as well as the open-world paradigm. Freedom all...
I disagree here a bit, as I believe Nintendo has, by INCLUDING all their old DNA/strengths into this one machine, they have, to a degree, ignored their greatest strength. IPs and gameplay. Lets face it, what made those other consoles great, were the games and how you played them in the VIRTUAL world, not so much the real world.
Mobility is good, so is a second screen, or motion control, but not at the cost of what consumers are buying it for, and that's the games.
First thing I thought of too! But they do a great job at marketing... too good. As stated, put that cash in the games for the gamers.
It may be a bit unfair, but I think we are all just beginning to feel the "inadequacy" in the lithium ion battery department for modern computing and in a sense, antiquated electronics.
1) we want more power and we need newer battery tech to come to open market to achieve this (modern tech is energy intensive).
2) our tech isn't MODERN or advanced enough! Ergo we need better batteries because they are energy intensive. One day when our devic...
That's true to an extent, why Nintendo is having such a difficult time producing/acquiring new and interesting IPs is beyond me, they exist in droves everywhere except on Nintendo consoles (and Microsoft more and more due to their own.... reasons).
Phone games and their own handhelds have plenty of great and different titles.
Was it just me, or when you un-dock the console there is a massive performance drop, in the instance I noted, the FPS on Zelda tanked, albeit consistently. Think this will be the norm for games? Visuals are one thing (though you have a much smaller screen so they shouldn't lose THAT much fidelity if they are coded properly to possess this tandem function of big screen/little screen), but FPS taking a hit too?
Does it take some kind of expandable flash memory?
Never got real interested in this title. Looked quite... lacking and unimaginative. That's not to say it wouldn't have been a BA dragon game, like those of old and like that one on PS3 SHOULD have been. Hate to see any decent looking game bite the dust though.
Too little too late now for me to be impressed. Star Citizen (PC) will be amazing I am sure, but they are running the same risk. You nust simply can't delay release forever without consequence unfortunately, even if it is in the overall best interest of the game.
Post apocalyptic future works... still modern day, but all the sophisticated tech is useless, back to kinetic weapons and no more iron men.
Just need some sort of twist... homefront sort of improvised stuff as well as standard gear. Fleshed out melee combat. Something. Human shields.
I know I won't be buying SWBF2 unless there are MAJOR upgrades (really should be called "BASICS!!!" rather than upgrades, but if they made it an ACTUAL Battlefront game I'd be more than happy).
How sad... I don't even really understand why EA chose to ditch some of the more BASIC elements of Battlefront (and modern shooters) that are on display here, i.e. dropped enemy weapon pick-ups, using the inferior vehicular combat system found in BF 2016 instead of matching what was used in previous games or even their OWN franchises like Battlefield 1 for Pete's sake!
It looks good, plays fairly smooth, sounds great, but that's it. A bare-bones product-release ...
Yeah, overheat. (actually, it happens so it DOESN't overheat). I had mine sitting on a glass table top, got hot as $hit. I thought the flatness of the surface would be sufficient for good ventilation, but the surface just got way to warm.
I missed two credits because they expired. One for Pro, other for 100 + dollar purchase deal... ai didn't see the messages and have been too busy to play much.
I have always been a fan of solid state media, optical discs have always been slow and a hassle by comparison. Cost-saver. Give me a tiny flash drive any day and still the option for a full install on the HDD. Fastest option would be solid state everywhere, SSD and game media drives, but that's a ways off (only because the market isn't geared toward doing this, not because the tech doesn't exist).
Is it entirely possible, this reviewer is a tad unused to games which might not hold one's hand all the way through and aim-assist your every motion? Maybe a bit oldschool, but far from broken or a waste of time.
It's okay Mikkelsen, one does not comprehend the mind of Kojima in but a single day.
