You are correct, although there is no reason VR could not INCLUDE an augmented reality aspect to it.
I've never actually had the opportunity yet to try either!
One day... one day.
These lists are so depressing...
But.... I don't want to see a Deathclaw in my bedroom....
I'm playing Rise of the Tomb Raider (was on sale and Mass Effect is looking rough so waiting for it to go on sale and I liked the last Tomb Raider I played), I noticed interaction with snow immediately as well as the "wet-look" when getting immersed in water.
I'm not REALLY comparing the two, as Horizon is phenomenal, but they are choices in the graphical arena. And they are noticeable. Guerrilla just needs to get with Naughty Dog on the sequel , implement...
Some good points and opinions. Price of games, I do wish it could somehow be game-by-game as long as there were an upper ceiling to price! But yes, some games are worth much more than others.
My thoughts on the mobile aspect, THESE days, mobile is nothing new, difficult, or even necessarily expensive to implement. I'm not saying it didn't cost Nintendo to develop this device, but that they could have sold it even at a slight loss to bolster increased sales. Go for b...
Cool, Mass Effect version would probably run better too ;)
Whole console is recycled parts, should have been 249.95 and not a dime more. Games should be 49.95 each. End of story. Good for dev influence in this instance. I believe this may have been similar to PS4 prior to its launch.
I don't think the majority simply veer away because of the score alone, but rather the price for a particular game becomes "less justifiable" if the score (and if that score reflects something of substance within the game) is not great.
For me, from what I've seen, I can wait for a price drop and patches before delving in. I don't WANT to wait, but I've lain down too much cash in the past for games that weren't worth it, just on faith that the ...
Good to hear, but specifically, the issues with those games are not so much the visuals. Bethesda needs to overhaul a lot, animations, fluidity, et cetera.
All games will be streamed (hybrid stream/some local assets) in the future anyway, exclusives will be tied to Publishers and licenses with the available streaming services, i.e. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, et cetera. Just as examples. I'm sure there will be some dedicated to gaming, but there is no reason the big boys in the streaming industry won't jump on board.
Do Tallnecks leave the big "T-Rex" tracks when they walk? Have you noticed?
Foot prints impressions missing from final game, robots and Tallneck? I can't recall if I noticed this or not..
The paranoia, jeez.
Anyone who disagrees with him is fake news apparently :)
Because you mentioned interfaces and speed, just a month back maybe, I have my "video" stuff in a folder and other things in other folders, but ONLY that one folder with the Netflix app, youtube, hulu, all that, takes maybe three solid seconds to "load" up the app icons. I haven't tried moving them out and back in yet, but wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this, perhaps it's a folder issue?
Currently using PRO, only experienced on the...
Right, that's where this game's strength is. And so long as they avoid the usual open-world pitfalls, the game doesn't NEED to be my 24-hour a day "alternate world I want to inhabit" game. I can't really recall if any game ever truly had that effect on me, but some have come close.
This one is just outright fun to play and doesn't require a tremendous time/mental energy investment to have said-fun.
I don't have ultra HD yet :(, need 65" plus UHD TV yesterday!
"...historically have a degrading connotation attached."
While I don't necessarily disagree with this statement, I would add that the use of these terms when exclusively applied within the context of this story's fictional domain could hardly be associated in any direct way (a stretch to even suggest an indirect link) with real-world places/peoples/events.
While inferences and suppositions are inevitable in these matters, I think it is f...
You make it sound like you are cheating on your wife with Horizon :)
You watch out for that red-head, she's a feisty one!
Although technically not specifically video game "consoles," the BILLIONS of mobile devices in existence currently that can play games and stream to television are pretty close.
- lack of dedicated easy docking system in most cases
- most don't have "full-fledged" AAA titles
Nintendo will have to achieve a balance of content and uniqueness if they want to succeed with this. The price point was ALMOST perfect, but they ende...
They do and DON'T matter;
If third part devs/publishers are putting out AMAZING content in a variety of genres and in droves, then maybe you don't need reliance on exclusives, but with the nature of the industry and money-hungry companies like EA pooping out lack-luster sequels in many cases and fewer than ever NEW IPs, then no, it would be unwise to rely on third-party games alone. Battlefield, at least in my opinion, is great. Battlefront, not so much. You get a f...
