good, the first one needed more talking. i lose touch with the story sometimes if i'm not constantly talking about something or interacting with people. the only time people talked in dead space was when you get a new objective and stuff which was annoying after a while.
good job IW, i'm liking a lot of stuff you guys have set up in there but still iffy on some things. did anyone see that one perk called Headline where it only takes one less kill to get a kill streak? i thought that was a weird idea for a perk.
other than that, the game is coming along great from the looks of it. the marathon runner, lightweight, and commando sounds like a pain in the ass though.
EDIT: watched some other videos...hella camping.
yeah, that sounds balanced now that you mentioned it. i forgot the upgradeable perks can make a big difference for beginners as an experienced player might have a level 3 stopping power ability (if its in the game.)
other than that though, people should just learn the hard way of online gaming, not introducing cheap things like death streaks. people have done it before in the past where they just practice and practice to get used to a game. i mean does a football coach dumb do...
oh i'm positive theres going to be a non-respawn mode like search and destroy or something. i'm going to be pissed if demolition is going MW2's version of S&D since like you said it has respawn which would just be lame. my main issue is the grenade spamming and noob perks. i really hope theres some weight to the grenades this time around too instead of just tossing them straight up in the air hoping to get a kill.
i like bling and the silenced sniper rifles but death streaks? come on IW, quit holding the noobs' hand and let them do their thing. they'll learn the hard way.
also, i'm not liking the prospects of upgrading perks; especially if last stand, juggernaut, and martyrdom are in the game. i also have a feeling akimbo will give you the ability to dual wield shotguns once you upgrade it enough like in timesplitters.
yeah the gameplay does get a little redundant and tactless after a while. i used to love playing search and destroy, but the grenade spamming at the beginning of the round just ruined it for me. i'm hoping for a cod redesign eventually such as bigger maps, vehicles that are balanced and not cheap like in W@W, more emphasis on teamwork (maybe class based?), etc. sounds like a battlefield premise, but i'm starting to get tired of just killing so it needs to be more dynamic like battlefield. ...
looks pretty solid. my favorite thing about MW2 is the gun sway and how it protrudes more out in front of your character. definitely won't need COD4 anymore when this comes out.
i don't see why some people have such a huge zombie fetish. are undead people really that fascinating?
"Dylan Phifer of Everett has reached rock star status."
that irks the hell out of me. PLAY REAL GUITAR IF YOU'RE SO AMAZING!
in the infamous words of ice cube and westside connection, "bow down!"
hell to the no. half life is the best, no questions asked. i would even put deus ex, system shock, and quake on there too. obviously a modern gamer to put halo and cod at the top.
EDIT: how could i have forgotten battlefield!?!?
"your bag of Buh Buh's is going to be empty ;)"
lmao
lol i'm going to make a list of all the biggest ps3 exclusives out/coming soon and then give it to my anti-sony friend. he still says there are no games but whatever, no need to get into any more detail than that.
here's a good answer everyone can agree too: it looks fantastic on both systems. can we leave it at that?
i completely agree. look at bioshock for example. when the game released, game informer gave bioshock a perfect 10/10 and then a year later it comes on the ps3 and they gave the exact same game (with extra content and a harder difficulty mode) a lower score of 9/10. the two games were carbon copies yet the ps3's version got lowered for some reason.
also, how does the ps3's version of batman get a lower score when it has exclusive DLC and again, is the same exact game as the ...
21/20 anyone?
i agree, dark void looks mediocre. i don't see anything special in it.
the game sounds promising and i'm always looking forward to jumping back on the halo bandwagon when i feel like i should be on it again, but this quote is a problem to me.
"Reach will be a full three-year cycle -- it's got all-new tech, akin to the change from Halo 2 to Halo 3..."
i'm know reach will be a big upgrade from halo 3, but the progress from halo 2 to halo 3 wasn't that significant so it makes me wonder how much of an improvement reach actually will ...
thank you zlatko!!! i've been telling people that for a little bit now but it's completely true. all you people who say you don't have time or patience to learn real guitar but play guitar hero every god damn day of your life need to check yourself.
so i think we can all agree that sony owned this year as far as exclusives go...just like last year.
