you're right, i never played a GT game on ps3 which is why GT5 will be my first GT purchase EVER. i've played GT, GT2, and GT4 since my cousin was such a racing and car mods fanatic, but i wasn't into those kinds of game at the time. now i have to buy this because it just looks borderline real.

one of the earlier scenes of cod4 has the execution of a guy who was shot by a pistol. if this kid was re-enacting a cod4 scene, it was probably the execution at the beginning of the game or the last cutscene where the guy was tossed a pistol. either way, it's a sad day for their family.

i agree, that's a big disadvantage for the console version. i think i might get this on PC just because it feels like a PC kind of game. i've somehow adapted to console gaming over PC gaming for quite a while now (even though i was originally a big PC gamer), but i think i'll jump back on my PC just because of the online player count.
hell yeah dude, this is going to be awesome. some of the gameplay videos i saw literally put shivers down my spine. just imagining half the stuff that goes down in this game will be amazing.
hopefully people will realize that arcadey like games can be a little tactless after a while and that realism can really immerse a person into a game.
dammit, these scores piss me off. it's too much of a mixed bag game. i see 9's and then 6's all the time. i'm leaning towards it being a 6 because i thought halo 3 didn't deserve anything higher than a 8/9 and this is a DLC game that uses the same 2 year old engine from halo 3.
everyone should look forward to reach before this in my opinion. i think reach is going to revitalize the halo series to the glory it used to have back on the xbox.
