Well let's say you can't play ps1 one games on it, so what?

Haha, I can't believe what I'm hearing: "Look at all the reviews (and gamers) comparing Forza to GT, they never mention the process of creating each car, just the end result.

So the 6 month car build time is ignored in the eye of the gamers, they want more detailed cars; having 800 standard cars, compared to 200 premiums, is unacceptable."

Dude, please don't bring up reviews, I personally think that over 80% of them are bought or...

you're complaining about repetition, but in the same sentence mention that Forza 4 has OVER 30 ferrari's.

Let me give you an exerpt from Kaz himself, it takes 6 months to make a premium car, when people say that gt5 is a sim, I know you think they're kidding, but they're really not. he has to drive each car, record all the data, test it in the game, and if it doesn't translate EXACTLY, then they have to go back to the drawing board. Then he has to take t...

@ Dk286k Well no reviewer has come out and flat out says it like that, but In every Single GT games that have been on consoles, you have always been able to fine tune your car, as far as engine, weight, camber, downforce, brake bias, you name it, All GT games have that, they only thing they don't have is where you go and paint the car to your liking. So when reviewers say lake of customization, it's pretty obvious what they're reffering to.

I mean, I can't reca...

It's not just weather effects, and night races, but also Nascar races, Rally RAces, Kart Races, Indy Races, a wider selection of cars, that regarless of their looks, with the best driving physics on console: " "which franchise emerges the victor? Well, having played Gran Turismo 5 a lot, I feel that it still delivers the most realistic-feeling and authentic driving simulation experience. Brilliant though Forza 4 is, Gran Turismo 5 just feels a little more convincing at the limi...

@ Noticablyfat

here's a quote from Turn 10 themselves: "How many cars and tracks are in Forza Motorsport 4?

Forza Motorsport 4 will feature 500 premium cars on Disc 1 and 2. It’s roughly 300 cars on Disc 1 and 200 cars on Disc 2. There are approximately 320 cars carried over and updated from Forza 3 as well as approximately 90 cars carried over and updated from Forza 3 DLC. The remaining 90 are so cars are new to Forza 4. Starting at launch, we are ...

Me I'm just questioning all the reviews. This one seems logical, but im still wondering if the author used a steering.wheel and how far in the game did he get before scoring it. Another review that is now, gave it a perfect score and praised how varied the game is. Now a few serious questions: does the game have nascar? Does it have Indy cars? Does it have rally? Does it have karts? Does it have weather? Does it night races? Does it offer the best physics? If it does then im defini...

@jokes, here's your statement: " No if it wants to compete or excel past Gears it just needs to do whatever it does better than anybody else. Again you just seem determined to suggest Forza4 does not deserve this score, yet you lack any real logic for such a statement,"

and here's my reason, but I'll just quote the reviewer himself: "which franchise emerges the victor? Well, having played Gran Turismo 5 a lot, I feel that it still delivers the mo...

@jokes Your take on things could be right. Or maybe it's even simpler than that, something along the lines that " the best DRIVING GAME has to offer the BEST DRIVING." which according to this perfect review, it is only second best.

It's similar to judging a car as best in it's class based on looks and features but not the actual driving.

And i also think that your analogie applies more to you then it does towards me, GT5 is part the nor...

@ Objective, I think you're correct, varient road conditions are NOT essentials for the perfect driving experience. And for your info, yes, GT5 offers customization of cars, and yes it simulates damage, and any time you have proof that GT5 has cosmetic simulation of wet, dry, snow, dirt, please send me the link, I don't mind correcting my beliefs with hard facts.

@ fullmetal, you're also right, all those reviewers who marked GT5 down for all cars not looking the sa...

quote from article

"Which, of course, begs the question: Now that we’ve reached the end of the road for this generation of racing games, which franchise emerges the victor? Well, having played Gran Turismo 5 a lot, I feel that it still delivers the most realistic-feeling and authentic driving simulation experience. Brilliant though Forza 4 is, Gran Turismo 5 just feels a little more convincing at the limit, if only by a few degrees. And while the lighting and graphics ...

Just a question for the Forza guys, I still really don't understand how it can get a perfect score when there are so many things that it doesn't do.

Now I don't have the game, obviously, but can anyone confirm if one can:

1) are there rally races in F4?
2) can you race at night, (low lighting situations, seems like a lot of car games have that now days)
3) can you race in different conditions, wet, snow? F1 does it and i...

Wow flamebait in its purest form. It's 2011, and a supposed "racing sim" can only attempt to simulate racing in dry conditions, gt5, moto gp, F1, sbk they all do it, but forza is getting perfect scores without it.

Imagine a shooter game with only one map. Or better yet one main gun and one hand gun only getting perfect scores?

Not to say that Forza is not a good game, but this is blatent fraud from the gaming media. Every single video you see...

The more reviews I read the more pumped I get for the game. Picking it up today, the girl will love the split screen co-op. And big ups for a well written review.

That's good news for the gamers waiting to get their hands on the vita. I hope it turns out to be a great game.

@ Alpha, I agree that if you go PS3 and Wii then you cover 95% of what console gaming have to offer, but the question remains, we're still talking about the Wii as a "SECONDARY" concole, and not a primary, I'll go on a limb here and say that this is true for the 100 million plus gamers Sony and Microsoft shares between them both. As in, there's 100 million gamers out there that the wii can't satisfy, hence why the more expensives consoles are sold more than the Wii. ...

I really shouldn't be talking as i haven't really gamed on a Nintendo system since the SNES. I loved mario, donkeykong, but as I got more into gaming, I started playing MK and KI and castlevania and SuperContra and the likes. Those games provided me with a different type of challenges that was different feom the ones from mario. What happenned to all those other games that are not mario and twilight princess.

Like I said, Im not one to say that they've abandoned ...

Although i dont agree with the points from the article, i'm one of those people who thinks that games should be cheaper overall.

But what the author is failing to graps is that the vita is targeting a different market. Sony also makes smart phones and tablets as well, so I'm sure they're well aware of the differences between the target audiences.

I mean we could say the same thing when it comes to home consoles. We could speculate that since PC...

@ CloseSecond, dude, no one is saying that you can't have a different opinion, but you need to understand why people don't necessarily agree with your opinion.

there's contradictions all throughout your post, smartphones are smartphones, the majority of the of things that a smartphone can do the psvita can do that as well, and did you know that Sony makes smart phones as well? so keep that in mind, Vita is targeting a totally different market. Vita is not just ...
