I don't think that Sony will have any issue selling through their initial shipments. I think the real test begins around Feb-March of next year when people will be looking for newer and fresher experiences from PSVR. In my opinion, Sony will need RIGS and a few other online multiplayer games to do very because that obviously keeps people using the device.

Also, I think they'll need to invest a bit more (if they're not already thinking about this) into the soci...

"By your logic all games should be 4.5 hours long max?" That's an interesting way of looking at it.

But I prefer to approach it from a different perspective. It's quite common to find single-player and story driven games to last on average of 6-9 hours long, and those games cost $60. So it seems quite reasonable to me that a game that lasts 1/3 of the average length (2-3 hours) of the average game out there, respectively costs 1/3 of the price at $20. Yo...

Haha, It's so nice to watch all those people that were fuming at Sony for not including a UHD Blu-ray player with the PS4 slim or the Pro given that UHD Blu-rays are like $20-$35 each. And movies are typically 90 minutes to 2 hours longs.

Yet that very same crowd is saying that $20 is too much for 2-3 hour experience that is much more immersive and interactive than you could ever have with UHD Blu-ray movie.

I guess what I'm saying is that you ca...

This is my first time ever commenting on this whole fiasco, and I'll share my two main gripes with the whole thing.

Firstly, and just by looking at most comment sections when it comes to this game. The majority of people commenting negatively about the game don't actually own the game. And of that majority, you can also see that a bigger portion of them don't even own a PS4. Which leaves us with the question of; "Why exactly are you so passionately bashing...

I honestly don't understand how one side can spend the entirety of last gen and this gen just sh***ing on Sony and PSN, and now they want nothing more than to have the chance to play against PS4 players.

I really, really hope and pray that this NEVER happens. MS is desperately seeking some sort of relevance as the writing is on the wall for the XBox, and in my opinion they should be allowed to die the slow death that's ahead of them... I mean the talked Sooooooooo muc...

More and more broadcasters are going to do this. I predict that by this time in 2018 it will be common practice for most networks to have VR contents. It would be cool to have late night shows with VR as an option where you can technically be a part of the audience with Jimmy Fallon, Kimmel, etc...

I just got mine pre-ordered from EBGames just an hour ago. Though I come home to hear the news that there was a terror attack in Belgium. Ripped my happy feeling right out of chest....

But no worries guys, you will get PSVR for sure this year, day one or not. Just be thankful that you're alive and well where ever you are in the world.....

@ Starchild
"When the PS4 does not come with the camera and the majority of PS4 owners do not own the camera it's a bit disingenuous to act like it's simply not part of the cost of VR at all. For the majority of us it most certainly is."

Please think before you speak.....I implore you.. seriously!

Lol you guys are hurting so much that y'all collectively shut off the logic portion of your brains and are just emotional little girls balling your eyes out at the moment.

VR is all about PRESENCE and sustained IMMERSION, then comes the other specs. The whole reason why resolution was talked about in VR was because of the screen door effect. Sony unsurprisingly resolved this because they have more experience with engineering bleeding edge high tech devices than both Ocul...

No the PlayStation VR hasn't. But I do suspect that they have a really good chance of selling more units than both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Sony has a much bigger install base of VR ready machines than the other two and that will play a big role when it comes to adoption of VR.

Another point is that Sony themselves will also be directly making VR content in the form of not only games, but MOVIE experiences. I can easily imagine certain VR movies being made by Sony Pi...

The accusation that was levelled at Sony was that the PS4 camera and motion controls were essential part of the experience and therefore must be included in the price. So let's be consistent, if a camera is necessary for the PSVR, then a graphics card that is minimum $270 is necessary for the Oculus Rift or Vive headsets.

$499 --> PSVR, PS4 camera, 2 PlayStation Move wands.

$950 --> Oculus Rift headset, Graphics card, and that's not even includ...

Seeking them "clicks" HARD, I see. Just spewing written diarrhea everywhere eh? Haha, carry on!

Reminds me of the days when BluRay was getting dragged through the mud. Remember how Sony fans were being laughed at for supporting BluRay when the entire entertainment industry was already shifting towards the technology similar to how the entire industry is now once again doing for VR?

Lol, I guess that concept is still escaping you guys.

The best forecasts out there predicts that the PSVR will only sell about 1.5 million units this year. Sony is NOT counting on PSVR to dramatically increase PS4 sales, the thing is already averaging over 1 million units sold per month worldwide. So the PS4 is not slumping like the XBox One is and doesn't need a boost, lol.

What you're not seeing is that the entire WORLD is shifting towards a new of ...

I can't believe that Sony and Microsoft has been deliberately using false advertising to sell their games....

Llike when you say Quantum Break will only cost $59.99 isn't that misleading? What will happen to the average Joe out there who walks into a Walmart, buys the game, only to find out that you need a f**king XBox One with it !? Shouldn't the real price of the game be out there for EVERYONE to see!? Shouldn't it clearly say that the REAL PRICE for Quantum B...

So much nonsense going around about whether or not Sony should have included a camera or not.

Sony released the PlayStation Camera and that thing was sold out for months and months. This means several things: 1 the PS Camera was clearly bought by a lot of people and still continues to do so as more and more people use it for streaming. Secondly, Sony of all people would have a solid number on how many people actually owns a camera and this decision to not include the camera ...
