C'mon guys, the XBox On has not sold 20 million units worldwide. Simple logical deductions just doesn't agree with this notion at all. NPD totals for NA tells us that the XBox One is sitting at around 11 million units. NA also represents between 65% - 75% of XBox One's global sales figures.
The UK represents the second biggest market for the XBox One, and even VG Chartz has them siting at 2.5 million units sold, for a total of 13.5 million units in it's 2 big...
HAHAHAHAHA.... I love all the spins sooooo much! Gawd it so so REFRESHING to see so much positivity and optimism from all those folks who were so concerned and were DEMANDING to know what's going on at SONY when a 2-3 folks left Naugthy Dog last year. Do you guys remember that?...it was the biggest thing ever. But now, those same folks are so calm...

I'll only say this and leave it at that. 3 years ago I wrote an article that reads: "Historically The PlayStation Brand Has Forced Everyone To Deviate, Or Die" http://n4g.com/news/1183338...
A lot of people here are pretending that games this latest move by Microsoft won't affect the XBox One, etc. People really shouldn't ...
This is my first and probably last time commenting on this topic, hopefully. Though I think what I have to say will hurt people the wrong way.
First of all, let's make this clear.... There will always be reasons to own an XBox One. Whether if it's because that's simply your console of preference, or where most of your friends are, etc.
This being said, this move is NOT a positive for the XBOX ONE, and I really don't understand why people are ...
Truth be told, the only thing any of can do at this point in time is speculate about how the game will play and such. None of us here has a good enough grasp on the game and its ideas as of yet.
The best course of action would simply be to just wait and see and judge the game after it's been released and we've played it.
The industry can't move forward if developers don't take risks and try new ideas....and that includes failing because not a...
@Supes_24
That actually aren't many people against the tech actually. It's just that if you stay on this specific website then you find that a select few (who absolutely despise Sony btw) feel like it is their duty to come into every VR thread and express that they have ZERO interest in VR and NEVER WILL.
Surely there are legit skeptics out there who have yet to try the tech and can't wrap their minds around what it will feel like. Those people, ...
So what it is a niche market? Our entire hobby, gaming itself, has been niche for a very, very long time. Didn't millions up millions of people still played and enjoyed gaming when it was very niche back in the Atari, NES, Sega, SNES days?
Not only that, VR is more potent than any of those products. Anyone who's paying attention to VR and is not just getting there VR related news from N4G alone will know that VR has a huge grass root movement behind it at the moment. ...
GTFO.....People are paying $150 + taxes for a damn Xbox One Elite controller.
Plenty of others are paying $399 + taxes for Logitech Steering wheels to play 1 to 2 racing games per generation.
Gaming Headphones are BIG business right now. Some go for as high as $350.
And now you want people to believe that $300+ for a VR headset that will absolutely change the way we play games is Risky?
Get real.....
Surely there is a sw...
Actually they are very OFF! Every since last GEN they have continually, and I stress CONTINUALLY, over-tracked anything XBox and under-tracked anything Sony.
Here's VGCchartz's own breakdown for XBox One numbers:
9.8 million for USA
2.2 million for UK
0.5 million for Germany
0.6 million for France
If you add the numbers up you get exactly 13.1 million XBox One. Which is why Microsoft itself decided not to EVER talk nu...
Ugh WTF kind of question is that???? Why on earth would the Oculus Rift be rendered obsolete by PSVR?
These two devices will mostly be complementing each other given that they're the biggest two names in VR at the moment and will both be considered a leader in that market. Sort of like what Apple and Android did for the smart phone market in some aspect.
In my opinion the prices for the memory cards played a huge factor in crippling the overall sales of the PSVita. I'm not saying that that aren't other factors, but I know I was personally very reluctant to shell out some $100 on a memory card.
Now my PSVita games are split up between 3 or cards because I ended up buying the cheaper smaller ones on an as per needed basis. Not the biggest deal in the world, but for a devices that stresses "convenience" in su...

"You literally are saying if you ever bought an Xbox you don't have the right to discuss gaming. That really does say a lot about you."
I'm literally saying that if you ever bought an Xbox 360 and an Xbox 1 before it became cheaper than the PS4, then you DON'T have the right to accuse other companies of being greedy. As simple as that.
Microsoft is literally reinvented greed in this industry. They fought Epic an...
Death you should really try shutting dafuq up on this topic at least for 1 thread. Like...really, reaaaally resist the urge to post nonsense after nonsense if only for one thread on said topic.
"People were expecting Sony to follow the lead on something they haven't done yet."
Sony has spent 100s of millions of dollars in R&D every generation making sure that they make consoles that are very reliable. No one else in the industry support th...
@ Death
It's literally like talking watching 8 year olds go at it with things like: "Many of the supporters of PSVR act like Sony is sending these out free of charge to the 30-40 million PS4 owners that will be targeted for the peripheral. Not everyone will buy a PSVR to go with their PS4." Should Microsoft not have made Halo 5 because not everyone will buy the game to go with their Xbox1...? Or is your logic inherently flawed as fuq? You then proceed to me...
@fatdrinkofwater
"The gap this gen is way smaller than last gen. Most games for the majority of the generation were much better on 360 with higher resolutions and better frame rates and graphical effects."
Why are you always talking nonsense bruh?
Do you have like a nonsense quote to reach per month or something?
Given that Sony is expecting to sale 38.5-39 million PS4s by March 31, if they were at 32 million by Dec 31 it would mean that Sony would have to sell 2 million in January, 2 million in Feb, and another 2 million in March. But we know that's not going to happen.
The more likely scenario is quite obvious. 35-36 million for PS4 by Dec 31st, and 16-17 million for XB1.
Keep in mind that the XB1 is sitting at some 8.5 million units sold in NA. There are zero ...
The best part about this whole thing is how often it happens. Every time a one off game is rumored to run poorly on the PS4 vs the XBox1, those guys come out the wood work to boast and express how "shameful" it allegedly is for that to be the case. You would think that by now, even if it was in fact true that this ONE game works better on the XB1 that they would realize that it's insignificant since 98% of the other games run better on the PS4.
I mean, who in...
Very impressive figures for the game. $100,000,000 digitally out of a total of $750,000,000 accounts for 13.5% of the total sales are digital. Throws a heavy wrench in the crazy high digital attach rate argument going around nowadays.
@fatdrinkerofwater
"Lol i cant believe you just called forza 6 and horizon 2 niche. Out of touch much"
Oh no, you misunderstand greatly it seems. For the last 3 months, the talk has been about how Microsoft had all of these BIG exclusives while the PS4 doesn't really offer much only niche games. That's because people didn't think that those games would be successful commercially. So why is it "out of touch" now to call Forza 6...
@ iRetrouk
EA was referring specifically to PS4 and XBox One numbers in their 55 million estimates.
@ ThePope
EA "ESTIMATED" that there are 55 million consoles between PS4 and XBox One.
At around the same time Sony announced 36 million PS4s "SOLD THROUGH". PS4 is averaging about 900,000 to 1.2 million consoles a month, meaning that the PS4 would be sitting on a buffer of about 2-3 million consoles at any point time worldwid...
