Haha, I see what you did there, I like!! :)
But the truth is that the the PS3 having shipped some 16.6 million consoles was considered a disaster. What does that make the XBox 360 which only shipped 13.4 million at the same point in time?
PS4 29,3 million shipped
PS3 16,6 million shipped
Xbox One around 15 million shipped
Xbox 360 13.4 million shipped
"There Has Been No Footage From The Last Guardian, Should We Be Worried?"
Absolutely you should........If of course you have nothing better to do. As a matter of fact I haven't seen the sun all day today because it's cloudy as hell, so I will also use this opportunity to worry about if the sun will be gone forever.
The hardware is in the final phases right now, and they're working on bringing down latency and such. Right now, they have the latency down to just 18 ms and they said that they believe they can bring it even lower than that before release.
So I think Sony is waiting on a few things I think. The biggest one I think they're working out right now is a deal with manufacturers to reduce the production cost on each PSVR made. I think they're also pondering on whether o...
Guys I've said it before, this feature should be the least of your concerns in all honesty. For anyone who's not familiar with it, please dona quick Google search for HMZ-t1 or T2 or T3 HMDs by Sony, and you will why this is a no brainer that will also be part of PSVR.
The HMZ-T is almost identical in set up to the PSVR. They both use an external processor unit. I own the HMZ-T1, and my only complaint with it is the comfort level, which is something that they've n...

You're absolutely on point. And this is just another HUGE reason why VR will be a captivating experience on the PS4. It is offering things on a whole different level than what its competitors have. You can play this the normal way, but you also have the option of actually "ENTERING" your dream world.....at will.
That's powerful.
@ yarbie1000
I'm not confused at all actually. I think the confusion might be on your part, because here's what you said word for word: " It's been a long road considering how long this game has been shown, without really being shown."
Furthermore, saying things like "Think the writing has been on the wall for this game" and "keeps getting pushed back" etc.... shows that you're very much confused about games deve...
@ Timesplitter above:
"No way a performance-intensive game like this will be made to reach the 75 FPS minimum required for VR games, especially with VR games requiring about 1.5x more power than regular games, due to dual rendering."
I mean, there is already so much info out on how PSVR works, yet you boys are hard pressed on making sure that you override all of this info so you can sit in your make belief world.
You are spread a l...

I don't think that Microsoft is hiding XBox One's number simply because they are losing to Sony and the PS4. I suspect that they real reason they're hiding the numbers is because very soon, the XBox One will no longer be able to track above the XBox 360's numbers. And when that happens, even as great as they are at spinning numbers, even they wont be able to twist the facts there.
Think about it for a minute. This whole time that we...
@ Nix
I made that same prediction some 6 months ago actually. And the reason I made that prediction is simple. I looked at the XBox One and realized that it already had a 2 Forza games, one Halo game, several price cuts, and massive fire sales, etc. Yet, they need to do all of these things to barely tread above XBox 360's numbers at the same time in their life span.
Secondly, I predicted that Halo 5, and Gears, and the next Forza would not have much of a...
@ MasterCornholio
Sony just raised their forecast to 39.8 million PS4 shipped by March 31, 2016. Meaning they're expecting to ship over 10 million consoles in 6 months (Oct to March).
According to their official data, they're averaging about 1 million consoles a month, shown here: https://zhugeex.com/2015/10... Sony sta...
@ DoctorFraud
I disagree on the "dead as franchise" part. I do partly agree with you that they did miss a great opportunity by cancelling the other versions. Meaning that on those platforms they are starting from scratch without much mind share.
But for games, mind share mostly come into play when you have to release alongside other big games. I'm sure if they time it right, they can find a lull in next year's schedule and release it then. ...
I think this would be a good game to support PSVR as an option if it can, given that you get to chill inside a mech and all that jazz.
I'm saying this because I'm not expecting this game to be too focused on cutting edge graphics, and I think the PS4 can handle this at a rock solid 60 fps and PSVR's processor unit can output it at 120 fps.
Would be a could option to have for those who will us PSVR on the PS4 and Oculus Rift on the PC.
@ moldybread
The PS4 just passed 9 million units sold in the US, and we know the PS4 is about 1 million ahead of the XBox in NA. http://ps4daily.com/2015/10...
Your XBox one numbers at 18 million units at the end of the year is implying that somehow that NA is merely accounts for 50% of all XBox One sales.....That just doesn't add up. If the NA is by far their...
Quick Correction to the post above.
It should read: 20% of 10 million = 2 million.
I actually predicted these numbers in the thread from a few days ago saying that Microsoft would no longer report on sales of the XBox One.
"Sony just announced 9 million PS4 sold in NA. And we all know that Sony has about a 1 million unit lead in NA, which leaves the XBox One at 8 million approximately. Now NA accounts for +80% of all XBox One sales,,,,,. 20% of 8 million = 1.6 million. So 8 million plus 1.6 million gives you 9.6 million, putting the XBox one around 10 ...
That was indeed a great read.
It touched on important aspects of our industry as a whole, and we've all witnessed the rise of the FPS genre, which is my opinion is still on of the poorest (in comparison) forms of story telling in video games. It is a genre that focuses more on action and set pieces than an actual story. There are a plethora of examples out there on the market as we speak.
For me, games like WiLD and Journey, and Until Dawn, and The Orde...
