Epic basicly forced Microsoft to double their ram... through the use of tech demos... an amusing story if you've not read about it yet.

16 gigs would be a little over kill I think, but 8 gigs would be right about where you'd need it.

No... impact exclusives will be important next gen... rumbling out tons of low selling exclusives isn't going to get any of these companies anywhere.

@3GenGames Umm... he lives in a different country... surely with import laws and tariffs. We don't all get to live in the US with massive amounts of free trade.

not always... Chaos Theory was easily the best looking console game last generation... by a land slide... it looked so good that Penny Arcade said that it made them question whether we even needed the next generation yet.

it seems to get to the point rather quickly

it's a PC... why would you pay Valve for a PC?

4854d ago 7 agree7 disagreeView comment

there is no way they limit HL3 to just their PC... and really that's all it's going to be... a PC in a small form factor... if they're going to be running some custom Linux distro I see no reason why anyone would bother... Linux is free... building your system is pretty cheap and compiling a distro isn't nearly as hard as it use to be... pointless pea-cocking by Valve

would depend on Wii U sales in Japan I would think... also the Wii U's not that much different form the 360 so you have a little more portability then you'd think... I just hope for a PC version it's seriously the best version with some of the user mods that are out.

Immanent Game Purchase Ahead!!!

no... perhaps you were expecting something else maybe and that's why you don't like it? It has some low points, but mechanically it works well. The story allows further development of the franchise as well as branching out.

You blow my mind... You clearly have no idea the breath of IPs that MS owns... just on creative side... how about Viva Pinata... Kodu and ilomilo... you don't need to go big to create something awesome... they also own huge franchises that I'd like to see make a come back this coming generations... Black and White... Age of Empires/Mythology, Lost Odyssey, MechAssult/MechCommander, Phantom Dust, Sudeki, True Fantasy Live Online oooh and PGR... where is our new PGR? And Voodoo Vince......

wouldn't be surprised if MS didn't purchase them whole sale either... they do have a pretty heavy quantity of games and UDraw could work with Windows 8 tablets working with Xbox/NextBox

it's easy to walk the path that other have beat down for you... rumor is that some guys who helped setup the update for XBL helped Nintendo with their network

These people are to ignorant to understand that their opinions don't matter if they don't have the system. In the end it's an opinion and we all know what opinions are like

Bungie didn't find a way to get out of their contract they were wholly owned by Microsoft. They asked Microsoft if they could buy back their company and Microsoft respected the developer so much they allowed them to do so. You think Sony would let their studios buy themselves back to independence? Or that Activision would let Blizzard go? I don't think so.

generally speaking those that went under did so because they planed poorly or misjudged audiences. I think that many of the smaller companies make their living off XBLA and PSN before moving on to bigger titles. Also seems like the PC has become a secondary market for those style of games. It's not a bad idea to build brand awareness on PSN and XBLA and move those smaller games to PC after.
