Microsoft has done this from DAY 1... there is nothing fancy about the idea... When you log into your system connect another controller hit the xbox button and sign into your account... it's your account and it's not bound to the system that's part of the reason the first Xbox 360s had the memory cards for people who would go to their friends house and wanted to bring their profile with them.

If I was sony I'd so a disc exchange program... you hand in your disc at walmart or target or wherever and they give you a code that allows you access to the streaming version... that is unless they charge you for the service... make it part of PSN+
