Anti consumer in how they say one thing and then do another. In how they are removing games from players instead of adding players to games.
"We want all gamers to enjoy our games"...then snatch exclusivity for massively popular multiplatform IP.
Making all these IP officially less accessible as theyve essentially removed millions of players.

Remember when people were upset over the tomb raider 1 ye...

They're not goriwng their first party. They're simply buying IPs

They are by far one of the most anticonsumer companies right now. They tout making their games accessible to as many gamers as possible...but all they've done with these acquisitions is make them less accessible.

They also tout letting gamers play on the platform they want but these acquisitions are only preventing that.

This is completely an anti consumer move...

Now I really don't see PlayStation not responding with other big acquisitions. Even though I was only interested in Diablo 4 there is no denying that these are Big titles and this is a big deal.

I remember thinking this very thing when spiderman came out. I was like.,..yeah thank God for sunset overdrive. That game gave insomniac the experience with parkour flow.

In spiderman that move that slings you from one side of the building to another while wall running...yeah that was directly taken from sunset. The vaulting as well.

You didn't play sunset overdrive. The same parkour and traversal mechanics were used in sunset overdrive that spiderman took as its own and improved.

@porkchop

I understand what viability means but it makes no sense to use something that is "viable" when you got the mouse and keyboard right there. Why choose the "viable" worse option?

But yeah I dont always use m/kb for 3rd person. It depends on the amount of accuracy needed. Definitely easier on me versus first person shooters.

2D sidescrollers I always use the controller.

@Verus

Good on you man!
My first death was against the 1st biome boss I think.
My second death was in the second biome against one of the severed.
3rd attempt I beat the game.
I went on to beat it many many times. Gave up on the plat due to the RNG of the glyphs or audio tapes I forget which annoyed me more. May go back to it...especially if they add any new content. Did the secret...or true ending as well.

No they're not. I started as a cosnole gamer. Loved playing fps games and got used to it on controller but once I started playing them on PC it was worlds apart.

Much later on For one reason or another I found myself playing some fps on console and man is it tough to get used to and frustrating. The lack of control is very clear...in a game like destiny 2 it's better due to all that aim assist built in but man would I much rather play fps on PC with keyboard and mou...

Just following the narrative that somehow the game wasn't received well when it clearly was one of the best received games last year....save for the fragile individuals that couldn't figure out how to play the game.

And it really is one of those games where you're experience will vary depending on how you approach it. I beat it on my 3rd try. A friend beat it on his 6th try. And another who plays lots of platformers and difficult ones at that is still struggling...

Not a game changer. These are old games. PlayStation fans want new games. It is nice if we can replay PS3 titles but that's it.

Why should returnal not be? If they said Hades was horror then I'd agree a game like Hades shouldn't be...since it's definitely nothing to do with horror. But returnal is definitely in the horror genre.

For me it was actually the most tense and horror like experience for me.

I would say resident evil if the ai wasn't so dumb.
Can't speak for house of ashes but if it's anything like until dawn then yeah that probably deserv...

Where have you been living? Under a rock? They supported dying light 1 in a similar manner and that's a fantastic game.

Thankfully it's not an MMO..as if that would matter since it's the quality of content that matters....whether that's 10 hours or 500

I do believe the article says specifically that halo infinite is free to play but I might have misread.

Also, the campaign does contain some cosmetic collectibles so if an individual wants to collect everything then they do need the campaign and that is 60$ unless... you get gamepass obviously.

Mts are subjectively not worth it. All should be unlocked through play as it was before...and that's not my opinion. That was gaming standard before crap mts w...

Mine...based on games I played in 2021

Demons souls
Returnal
Ratchet
Ori and will of wisps
13 sentinels
Nier automata
Pillars of eternity
Hades
Narita boy
Hellblade

I know...quite the backlog I've had but that's what I enjoyed the most that I played this year. Kinda in order more or less.

This year so far has been just marvels guardians of the Gala...

Not a free game though. It's 60$

Campaign should've been 40$ at it's current state.

They chose to make the mutliplayer f2p because they know they can make money off the single player AND the mutliplayer.

It's called greed. And tell me...what content are they going to be releasing? Seems to me that all they're doing is adding events...in other words playlists with different parameters....that's not really new cont...

Halo infinite is NOT free to play though. The mutliplayer is free but the campaign is not.

This is a hybrid game or to be more precise...2 completely different games.

Halo infinite campaign is $60 and to be completely honest that's pricey for the game

Halo Infinite Multiplayer is free to play....and like many free to play it's full of garbage monetization. But it can all be ignored. At least they got that right... pricing still ...

Or maybe there's star citizen 2...but it's still on Kickstarter.

Devs probably decided the game wasn't big enough and so announced star citizen 2 would include star citizen 1. But of course they need more money for star citizen 2 so that they can work on releasing it with star citizen 1.

1466d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Uhuh..you think the devs are the ones who'll make that extra money. That's a funny idea.
