Besides not too recently there was the whole situation of the closure of lionhead studios and near closure of rare. I still remember that fiasco...which was under Phil.
Sony partnering with a brand new studio that has no IP under its belt. This is what a partnership that leads to purchasing a studio looks like.
They give the studio support and opportunity and overtime if they do well they join the team.

With you on inquisition. It was a horrible entry. The first 2 dragon age were far superior. Yet...everyone loved the open world and fetch quests...yay.

They screwed up Fable Legends and perfect dark is a fairly recent announcement also nothing to show yet.
I'm hoping for the best because I love those two IP but that's not pretend Microsoft is this great company that revives old IPS tremendously well.

Yup. This was my problem with their acquisitions. All other devs were doing fine without Microsoft. They were real easing games for everyone and they were all selling best on PlayStation. I fear for hellblade 2.
Those devs you mention are also the only true Microsoft studios which is why I'm really interested to see how perfect dark and fable are once they release. It will be the sign of whether Microsoft can actually nurture and build studios to create quality games.

There isn't and never will be a single studio under Microsoft that will grow like naughty dog, Santa Monica, bend, bluepoint, and returnal devs, heck even insomniac albeit they got a lot of ideas from sunset overdrive.
They keep saying they'll let the studios do their thing...this actually means they only bought them to have them NOT to help them or any gamer out there. Just to own them.

ps5 is the only must have since thats the only console with exclusives. Xbox has all their games on PC and you can also just use the cloud. You dont need an xbox to enjoy xbox games. Maybe playstation is heading the same direction but not quite 100% yet.

I don't think that will happen. It's not like Sony doesn't know that all the games that gave success to all of the devs Microsoft has purchased recently was primarily due to the amount of copies sold on PlayStation.
Same here although I'm simply prioritizing games I know won't land on game pass anytime soon.horizon and elden...dying light may eventually be on the pass.
Guess you kinda have to weigh the pros and cons at that point.
