What's funny to me about this claim of historically grounded mess is most of the time things are not properly portrayed....they are portrayed in a superficial and ignorant way....which makes it historically inaccurate.

Demons souls and returnal are 1st party IP. Their devs weren't bought but they were already acting like 1st party devs. Demons souls is an IP owned by Sony. And so is re to returnal ..and yes at time of release.

Ratchet and returnal. Also demons souls since you can't play that on PS4 actually. That's at least 3 incredible games. More than the competition released in 5 years or more.
Nope. The correct strategy is to actively complain. The stance of "don't buy them" doesn't work as you just said...most games have it. This is due in part because only a few complain ...most say 'whatever' just like you.
The premise that it's 2022 Amanda somehow that validates scummy practices is nonsense as well.

The only IP I can think that MS created recently is Sea of Theives. That was all xbox since rare had been bought long before its conception.

Well if you're a collector then yeah it makes sense. I started gaming in the 90s so not much of a collector back then. Kinda skipped the early age of gaming. Started with the Sega Genesis and super Nintendo
