Agreed. and even still, I love all those games. So long as it's better than Fable 3's combat
"Lol when does a PC version never have issues?"
...when they don't use Unreal
...then why didn't the PS4 Pro have pro patches for a bunch of games that needed it? (I'm thinking bloodborne esp). How does one mandate something for games that have long since shipped, whos devs may not even be around anymore?
Interesting to see some stuff coming out showing FSR is actually performing better with image stability than PSSR when upscaling large resolution deltas (and PSSR doing better when the delta is smaller). Guess you got to pick your use cases. Also telling that some of the first party studios chose not to use it at all.
Please read derek. Clearly not your strong point. Or thinking. I've addressed everything you've said. Maybe just quit while you're ahead, or behind. I like the not so subtle goal post shift though. clap clap
@Outsider: No I'm just responding to people that are referencing that Linus video where he made a PS5 Pro beater for $535, ignoring of course by cutting those corners he saved $165 dollars over the PS5. You can also beat it with firsthand parts for $700. Although I'm not too sure why buying secondhand parts to make a PS5 Pro killer is invalid anyway. Sure, you can't do that to get a PS5 Pro ...but isn't that a very good point? Not like you can pick up a PS5 Pro cheap secondhan...
*edit* oops sorry! Wrong spot again XD
hit the nail on the head. If you put in Wifi 7 and a 2TB SSD in there you can justify a bump in price far more than those components actually cost Sony.
What's the point of your comment, derek? I know people like you don't care about facts but I'm just delivering. How's the path traced ray reconstructed Cyberpunk 2077 run on your PS5 Pro? Oh yeah. it's not possible, it will never happen. It IS however possible on a PC you can make for the same money as a PS5 Pro. Sorry. And yes. people do make PCs on a budget.
I'm responding to a comment stating "complete functioning PC for the same price as the ...
Bads. the PS5 CPU has benchmarks done on it. It != a 3700X, not by a long shot. BUT if it did, that CPU as it stands in a PC with its far higher base and boost clock has almost identical performance to a 12400F.
"this has been proven by many tech sites and for a closer matchup, they are suggesting at least the 4070" what are you on about it? People were assuming that level based on what Mark Cerny said pre-release but since release it's been proven wrong. it c...
Did you guys actually watch that Linus video properly?
One: he assumes that the performance is similar to a 4070 or 7800 XT, which we now know to be false. Digital Foundry, which he referenced has since corrected this assumption as well since getting it for testing and since the 16.7TF official number leaked (we know for example the 7700 XT has 35 TF of raw compute, literally double the performance). It was *ASSUMED* that this thing would match to a 6800 or 7800 but this has turned o...
This is an AUD comparison. It's VERY close, except that my build options have GPUs with around 30TF of raw compute. so nearly double the GPU performance for the same price.

and now we wait for the goals to shift...
A 12400F significantly outperforms the PS5s CPU in both single and multithreaded performance, in spite of the core differential. something like 50% faster in both. Those GPUs completely blow the PS5 Pros out of the water, not even close. Since we know the PS5 Pro GPU is 16.7TF Closer comparisons to "compete" are the 3060ti (16.2TF) , the 4060ti(22TF), or the 7700 XT (35TF) if you want to go with AMD.
But I do agree you need to know where to look, you can't jus...
@gamingsince1981 I know for a fact you're wrong and are talking out your arse. Go see what you can make for $1200AUD these days. Unless you're completely incompetent at your job you'll be surprised. Yes there will be concessions, sure it won't be the most ideal hardware with the latest tech, but neither is the PS5 Pro. Add in the extra 160AUD you need for the disk drive and it's a piece of piss (I consider this a must on a console to play old games, where-as PC gaming it...
@andy no I'm not but a 3060ti IS a comparable GPU. 16.2TF vs 16.7TF. they both will play games at a very similar level, though the PS5s extra VRAM does give it an edge. One might argue the 3060ti having superior RT gives it an edge too however. They'd both have their strengths and weaknesses. It's a very good card you can get for very cheap. There's a lot of them out there.
@arm honestly, what are you on about? Are you trying to equate me being critical of the PS5 Pro's price with gamergate? With being an incel? Jeez, I think YOU need to get about a bit more mate.
@gamingsince1981 apparently owning a PC store doesn't mean you know what you're talking about. I've literally costed it. Maybe not from your store (?). Ever looked at centrecom? Probably not. I didn't say better specs all around I responded to better performance, which I'm assuming to mean better gaming performance. You can definitely do this. A 12400F for example costs around $150AUD (this has higher performance than the PS5s CPU). You can get a 4070 for $800AUD (this ha...
I'll make a correction to my previous statement on the price of $900USD. I should have just used AUD and that was factoring in a disk drive (because what kind of enthusiast console player doesn't want the disk drive?!). Though the value of our dollar has slipped and now is closer to $880. Still my point is that for 1360AUS I absolutely could make a better PC for gaming than a PS5 Pro. Even for 1200AUD… though it's getting a lot tighter in performance difference there. But of cours...
"The thing with console upgrades is devs utilize new console hardware longer and pays off in the later half of a gen. Where PC you are constantly upgrading cards because that’s how pc manufacturers make money."
I'm using a graphics card that I bought before the release of the PS5, that has nearly double the GPU compute performance of the PS5 Pro, that cost me less than the PS5 Pro. That was the 3080 on launch. I'll admit I got lucky with the timing on that.
That's the one. Felt like it could have been excellent with a little more time and a less mind-numbingly simple combat system. Hat this feeling that they had to cut some stuff to get it out the door. Although that can probably be said for all of them. Still, I enjoyed it.
