"I'm not sure that you understand how N4G works. N4G doesn't create any news, it just gets news from other sites that the users here approve. If there have only been "two submissions about quantum break in the past two days" on N4G, then that's because there have only been two articles created on other sites. In this instance, you're seeing Sony bias where none exists."
I don't think that's a fair assessment ...
@Sevir
"I wonder if Square and Sony will announce FF15 and Kingdom Hearts 3 as Timed exclusive on PS4 at TGS?"
I wonder if people will piss and moan and carry on like they do about this if that happens.
@xHeavYx
1. Bungie says Destiny isn't a MMO, but that doesn't make it so. IT LOOKS EXACTLY LUKE A SOULS GAME WITH GUNS.
2/3. No Man's Sky was a new IP and was announced before platforms were confirmed. I saw zero complaints from you when it went PS4 exclusive, timed or otherwise.
Also, don't ever tell me what to do. I'll open my mouth whenever I want.
@xHeavYx
"Xbox fan who won't be able to play the game is hurt
Confirmed"
So, people getting up in arms about Tomb Raider being a timed exclusive or whatever is a noble cause, but people on Xbox not being able to play the next Souls game is something to point out and poke fun of? And don't give mr the "it's not a Souls game" crap, because it looks exactly like a Souls game.
@morganfell
If I misunderstood you, I apologize. But in context, you said:
"The PS2 was so far ahead of the competition it couldn't see the competition and Sony never stopped innovating and supported the PS2 long after the PS3 premiered. Sometimes it would be better for a studio to concentrate on the best platform alone and focus their resources."
It seemed like an extension of your thoughts, talking about the PS2 and its insur...

"Sometimes it would be better for a studio to concentrate on the best platform alone and focus their resources."
The problem is, the PS2 wasn't the best or most powerful platform - it was the highest selling. If power and/or ease of development was what should draw developers to exclusivity, then the Original Xbox should have been the choice of the generation.
I do agree with your sentiment though - one platform deve...
@Spotie
It's really fun. It's up there with the best of the twin stick space shooters.
Huh?
Confrontation was fine after six months (although they never quite fixed walking over a rock interrupting your reload animation or window shooting/grenade tossing). Cold Front really made it shine, but at that point, the old SOCOM community had long given up on the game and moved on. I still preferred smaller maps and dedicated 8 on 8 gameplay though.
SOCOM 4 was just horrible. I would not have enjoyed it even if the SOCOM name wasn't on it, but the fact that it was made...
So Call of Duty is a game that people claim is Call of Duty. Inception achieved.
The funny thing is, at 49 and retired for four years, he could still put on a better match than 99% of the current roster.
@Sheikh
"Plus if offline is crippled, doesn't this make a stronger case for the hardware needing to be able to handle it instead?"
You could say that the offline is crippled, or the online is enhanced. Half empty, half full.
@TFJWM
"Adjust for VGchartz over tracking Xbox and under tracking PS and take away that every RROD is included in that"
No. You don't take away any RROD. A bought console is a bought console. If you wreck a car and buy a new one, does that mean that you never bought the first one? Also, as far as I know, replacement consoles from the manufacturer don't count either, so that wouldn't matter. Also, if you could find a more concise total fo...
"But in fact, we are kind of creating two-in-one. One with Azure available, and one for offline only. Everything you code, you need to code for two scenarios. This is a ton of work. if online = dynamic grass; if offline=static grass."
For every time somebody says "b-b-but what happens if the internet goes down" - this is what happens. Finally, a dev is saying it so that it can be referenced. This is good news.
In the U.S./N.A. (which I explicitly stated I was talking about) the numbers sold are:
Xbox 360: 47.28 million
PS3: 28.57 million
Is that not a massacre? Also, I simply do not care about worldwide numbers for this argument. I was stating that things would be a lot different on their home turf if they launched with the better price, options, and policies.
The initial price point of $499 brought on by mandatory Kinect, along with DRM confusion is what has cost them sales more than anything.
If Microsoft launched Xbox One as it is available now, 399 without Kinect and 499 with it, no DRM or paywall, etc, the race in North America would have been a massacre in Microsoft's favor. Worldwide obviously would have been a different story, but it would have been a repeat of last gen. Microsoft shot themselves in the foot not with th...
The only problem is that certain adapters can cause input lag/imprecision in both controllers on a console. This is especially a potential problem in fighting game tournaments, where sometimes a combo requires timing ranging anywhere from 1/15 to 1/60 seconds. Chronus is banned often.
AHEM Agent Mattrick, sent to destroy mobile gaming. But yeah, dude is like Ted McGinley joining the cast of a sitcom.
Oh hell yeah. Audience participation for games is something I've been hoping for for a while.
My favorite mode was Pacifism, where you couldn't shoot anything and had to fly through gates to clear enemies. So intense!
