"but you have to remember it was all Ubisoft fault
for aim for parity"
Are you kidding me? With as bad as that game runs at 900p, can you even imagine the debacle that 1080p would be? Parity or not, the game is an unoptimized mess that would only be worse if it required even more out of the PS4.
PygmelionHunter just won the internet. We can all go home now.
What's when funnier is that a lot of the same people who played the victim card and cried about being insulted years ago in re: Mafia 2's grass are now okay with pointing out and deriding another console's foliage situation.
I hope that it's a different kind of tech rather than simply a response to Oculus and/or Morpheus. There's too much "me too" in the industry as it is - Microsoft needs something that makes them stand out in this particular instance rather than offering a similar alternative to the rest of the competition.
I'd put Halo 2 in here - not because of the campaign, but for the evolution of console multiplayer that it represented.
I loved Uncharted 1, but the leap to 2 was gigantic in every sense - especially in terms of storytelling and the balance of set pieces and player controlled action.
Damn you, LaChance, for turning this into "List Wars: The Thread - Volume 629". :/
Really, DarkLord? Come on, man.
Lol... I had a shift key clamp to always run in Doom. People like to rewrite history as they see fit :/
@-Foxtrot
Unlike the other games that you mentioned, Titanfall delivered on exactly what it promised - a multiplayer-only shooter that was fast and fun. And just because the community is smaller than it was doesn't mean that it is nonexistent. There is still nothing like it out there (no, COD:AW is not similar) and it's still a good time.
Perfect Dark Zero and the Viva Piñatas weren't game games?
Edit: and Banjo? (thanks Easy)
Edit edit: And Kameo??? I actually really liked that one.
Sackboy is adorable every week though.
"Advanced Warfare employs game servers hosted at data centers globally on all platforms and listen servers as part of our proprietary matchmaking system. Our goal is to ensure the best possible connection and greatest gameplay experience regardless of location and time of day."
What does this even mean?????????
@q8kik
"According to VGchartz, ps3 ps4 and psv sales of Samurai Warriors 4 are well over 320k in the first ten weeks.
Not bad for an irrelevant game, eh?"
Let me restate what you just said. In two and a half months, a game has sold over 320,000 copies across three platforms. That's not good, but not bad I guess.
BUT LET'S DIG DEEPER!

"Then why did the author completely ignore Samurai Warriors and Guilty gear ?
Oh i know, it's bias."
Maybe because he, like a majority of gamers, doesn't care? I mean, has Dynasty Warriors been relevant since the PS2 days? Had Guilty Gear EVER been relevant outside of the FGC (where it is nowhere near the most popular title)?
Also, as he mentions several times on the article, HE IS A PS4 OWNER. How the hell ca...
To me, the deciding difference is this:
In Titanfall, when I shoot something, it dies.
In COD:AW, when I shoot something, it might die.
Seriously - I really wish that AW had true dedicated servers. The P2P struggle is real, and I lose way too many gun battles where I fire first and more often, at least on my screen.
@Spotie
"Can you brag about a winter lineup when the year round lineup is so barren?"
When the title of the article is 'Xbox One has the better games lineup for the second Christmas running', then yes. The article is specifically speaking about games coming out around the holidays, not during the rest of the year.
It's definitely faster than other COD's, but coming off of Titanfall, it feels a bit slower.
Ahhhhh, GamerGate... The only "controversy" that lets everyone involved on all sides look like the raging attention whores that they really are.
I just picked up a Wii U last week with Smash and Mario Kart. Love it and them, but I was even more pleasantly surprised with Super Mario 3D World, which was bundled with my console. All of them take me back to a time when I gamed for the fun and challenge, not to unlock an ACOG scope or finish a story. I can't wait to check out some of the rest of the exclusive catalog.
