That's awesome!!! Especially these days where backwards compatibility is somewhat frowned upon so that companies can charge you for the same content. More should follow this example.

This might be the single most egregious PR explanation ever. They must think that our brains are dead.

You're not being that guy - you're being logical. Trailers that don't feature gameplay can give you a sense of what a game will be like, but they exist more to generate interest in the concept of the title rather than to be indicative of gameplay.

"Let me tell you about this Ferrari and how it has the same top speed as that Hyundai over there."

The problem is that the Ferrari to Hyundai comparison is flawed on pretty much every level. A more appropriate one is comparing a 4-cylinder Honda Accord to a V6 model.

FOR REAL! There was nothing quite like the terror of going down the ramp to the bomb plant in Enowapi, knowing that somebody was corner-camping with an auto shotty and just waiting to hold down the trigger.

I've been begging for years. All it takes is an HD remaster of SOCOM II and I'll be happy. The best years of my online gaming life were spent in places called Sujo, Enowapi, Desert Glory, and Night Stalker.

Between this idiot and people worrying about Zoe Quinn's sex life, this has been a crappy week for gaming news and discussion. I'm ALMOST longing for resolution and power disparity flame wars at this point.

That video is awesome. Love seeing developers having fun instead of talking shop all of the time.

"One does not sell 5M more consoles by hype alone."

The Wii would like to have a word with you.

@Giggman

Yeah, I get what you're saying. It all depends on how the initial reception for the console goes. If it is successful, word of mouth would push more sales. If not, then it will probably sell at a lesser rate.

Ehhhhh.... MisterX... The source might as well be Mel Gibson in the film Conspiracy Theory.

There are 1 billion people in China. 5 million is .5 percent of the population. It's not that unreasonable of an allotment.

You talk so much about douches... is this one of those "it takes one to know one" situations?

There is - it comes out next week, I believe.

Business Insider should really check its hyperbole detector, because it's broken.

That said, Share Play looks cool.

"they should think about their consumers as multi platform gamers and not just the x1 community."

That may be the "shining happy people" way of thinking, but in business, it is simply not how it's done. All companies - ALL COMPANIES - either want you to completely ignore their competitors or only think of them as having a lesser product. There is absolutely no money made in this world by saying that your competitor has com...

@Dlacy13g

Exactly. And I like how it is in general, even if the execution isn't always as good as the actual concept. The pushing of agendas is the annoying part, to be honest. When all you need is ten friends, or even like-minded individuals, you can get pretty much anything and everything approved or failed. Usually the good outweighs the bad, but sometimes it doesn't.
