seems to leave the way open for an easy exit out of the industry. Not saying that they will but instead of buying studios like Sony does to ensure exclusives decades down the line. MS seems to only want to buy exclusives or finance independent devs to make an exclusive game. That doesn't seems like a long term plan to me. I think they are leaving the door open in case they do decide to leave the industry.
if you know how to shop around. I just ordered a 17" Duo Core 2.5ghz, 3 gigs of ram, Nvidia 512MB GeF 8600m GS, dual 120gb 7200rpm hard drives and hdmi output for about $1050 shipped.
But no way do they have the funds to start a console division. A company would have to be willing to take the hit that MS did and maybe more which was $21 billion invested and $7 billion in losses over a 5 year period. EA's total value right now in terms of market cap is $15 billion. They would needs partners and I don't see why they would even bother. EA looks perfectly happy shoveling their titles onto any and all viable platforms. I believe Apple and Samsung have the money to do it bu...
Jaffe was asked if he had to take something out of the PS3 what would it be? A load question if ever there was one. Jaffe said if he HAD TO it would be the blu-ray drive so they could sell the box for less. He then added that saying so would probably bite him in the @ss in a year. Because a lot of corporate decisions leave him scratching his head when he first hears about it but eventually ends up being a pretty good move. He actually hit the nail right on the head with his comments.
Its never going to happen.
1. The Wii simply does not have the horsepower to decode blu-ray movies. The Wii has a 733mhz processor with 88 megs of ram (correct me if I'm wrong)? That is not going to cut it.
2. There is no reason for Nintendo to add one. They make games and games only. They have no other business interests.
3. Nintendo is all about profit. My best guess why the Wii doesn't play DVDs? Because Nintendo doesn't want to pay the licen...
Unfortunately even with the bundle PS3 sales were only up about 8k units last week. I think Sony may need to get cracking on a PS3 slim to revitalize Japan sales as they did with the PSP slim. The games just aren't doing it. GT Prologue, Disgaea 3, DMC 4 and Yakuza none of them have given the PS3 any prolonged sales boost. I think Sony really needs a ps3 slim out by the time Final Fantasy 13 releases. I don't think its a secret that the Japanese like their gadgets small and the way the PS...
then a 360 before it red rings though. BTW this exact article was posted about a week ago. Right before the release of GOD COO.
First selling out DMC4 with the excuse of them developing a multiplat strategy going forward. Then selling out Monster Hunters 3 to Nintendo. How is that a multiplat strategy BTW? Then they say PS3 fans will be excited in a week after the uproar that the announcement of MH3 going to Wii caused. Which turns out to be nothing more then a sh!tty port of Lost Planet which they will sell for $10 more then a remake on the 360 that includes extra content. Not sure what Sony did to them or what ...
Do they really expect people to believe they thought parents would buy 360s in September as Christmas presents just because of Halo 3? Its a really sad excuse for sagging sales or the people running the entertainment division need to get canned. Christmas doesn't come 3 months early just because of 1 video game.
Amazon is the LARGEST online retailer. And although I agree that sales rank on Amazon doesn't necessarily = sales at B&M retail they are a good indication of available stock. For example Amazon has never had Wii systems for sale since its release for more then 20-30 minutes before they are all snapped up.
If so thats my guess. Otherwise LBP.
But you guys better run and get one now! Who knows how long this shortage will really last! LOL
1 day before the NPD numbers come out.
Does anyone really believe this? It takes them a quarter of a year to restock units to the US? The US is the only place the 360 sells...
Also a release month would be nice. Wasn't this thing suppose to come out last year?
If it matches the original Motorstorm's graphics (which I see no reason why it won't and will likely surpass them) plus adds all the stuff I and many others have wanted then there is plenty of reason to get excited.
but didn't buy it. Did a rental on it because it was so limited. But they seemed to have fixed everything for the sequel. Double the tracks. More variety in the environments. Split screen. Its all here. Kudos to Evo studios for listening to their fans. This time around I will definitely purchase it.
I'm sure the game will still be good but this reminds me of the low res sprites slapped on to Hi res backgrounds that those Capcom VS games use to do. Its just lazy, looks ugly plus gives the impression that the game is unfinished and just slapped together.
I did not enjoy the still, washed out cutscenes but the narration was great.
But that was a refurb with a 1.66ghz Duo Core not a 2.5ghz. But it did have a TV tuner and as you said blu-ray drive. I got mine straight from Hp with a coupon code. I decided to just get the best processor available and forget the blu-ray since I already have a ps3.
