Yes, the 360 has a 7 to 1 attach rate after 27 months on the market to a lowly 3.8 to 1 on PS3. What it does not mention is that the PS3 has only been on the market in Europe for less then 13 months. So the attach rate is pretty even if adjusted for months on the market if not higher on PS3. I wish people paid me to spin things like these guys do.

You get one of the hottest games this year on the date of release plus the more expensive dual shock 3 and a $10 DL game. Not too shabby Sony. This should sell extremely well. People are hungry for the 80 gb now. Amazon had it in stock last week and it sold out in less then an hour and rocketed to number on their video game charts.
He seems like an intelligent well-spoken person. Is he always right? No but he does put thought in his analysis and he actually does game. BTW I have never seen him bash the ps3. He isn't a fanboy he just tells it like he sees it from a business perspective. He actually defended the ps3 when some devs were quoted as poking fun of the ps3 such as calling it the PS3DO.
You can move a ps3 or ps2 all you want with a disc running. Sony was smart enough even 8 years ago to lock the disc in when its spinning. This is probably why a lot of people got scratched discs with their 360 in beginning. They were expecting the disc to lock in like a ps2. I know I scratched a Perfect Dark Zero disc because I thought so.

Its probably because the big 3 companies seem to accept NPD numbers as gospel. I dont think I've ever seen any of the 3 dispute the numbers so everyone just goes with it.
If MS talks about shortages again you know PS3 outsold them. If they remain silent then the 360 outsold the PS3 for March.
but for older people with cars who can drive to any of 20-30 stores that carry games in a 15-20 mile radius it is pointless unless goodies are included. I usually wait a couple of days before the release of the game and see which store is offering the best deal. If everyone is charging retail I just order on online or wait. I ain't down to pay no $66 for 1 game.

Like if you aren't a Gold Live subscriber you only get half a game for $60 and the fact that the dlc will cost $. They make it sound like its a free bonus. lol
I think people are harping on the 50 mill for DLC a bit too much. I'm sure most of that money was to insure a date and day release with the PS3 version. The DLC was probably just a concession by Taketwo to close the deal. Anyway MS has to be very careful about how they advertise the DLC. Its not available now and its not free. Last thing they need is another lawsuit for slapping stickers and posters up that misrepresent the content. "Vista capable" anyone?
Sony just quietly goes about their business and signs the deal for the bundle. Which guarantees ownership of said launch.
I put in an avi or mp4 disc and it states that I need a media update and to log onto live and try playing the file to get it. I do it and it works. But the next time I turn the 360 on I get the same msg that I need an update.
