Also if you read the article there's no mention of Playstation exclusives, it's purely the views of some starfield players, having played it early myself i agree with some of the criticisms, exploring 90% procedurally generated barren ...
I think you need to take your own advice. I played it early and I agree with this criticism.
It's a Bethesda game where exploration is a huge expectation, here it's very disappointing, 90% bland, procedurally generated zones and I question how much the current crop of 9s and 10s actually spent time delving in to the sub par exploration in all honesty.
Obsidian already made the best fallout game in recent times, there's no way Todd's ego would let them potentially make a better ES too.
Only 51 reviews as well so it won't stay there, and they haven't added this IGN 7/10 yet for whateter. Probably hover between low 80s is my prediction, a good score but not quite this earth shattering megaton it was being touted as.
unfortunate, but I think the writing was on the wall after the disastrous reboot.
Gamespot too, I had an early-ish copy of the game and I'd give it a 7 at best so far. A decent game but far from living up to the huge hype, it'll end up in the low 80s probably, still good but defintiely overhyped.
The biggest positive is that it's not as buggy as previous bethesda games and performance is good, 30fps considering, the biggest let down for me is exploration, it's much less enjoyable than the likes of Skyrim and even Fallout 4 for me.
okay? not sure why you seem so pressed about the term boomer shooter, it's often used to describe shooters in that style from the 90s as I'm sure you're aware, being among the first iteration of more mainstream FPS games, don't see the need to get so worked up over it lol.
I'm stacked until 2028, but I am not a fan of this fairly substantial increase at all, coupled with the fact that actual PS+ sales for the membership itself aren't as good as they used to be, you can only get them from the store direct so there's no competition among retail, this is why single point of sale subscriptions are just bad.

I'm sorry but, who wants to stream a big AAA game those like to a tiny phone screen, with inferior controls and likely lag at times. Might work for some but not for me at least.

But I doubt the shareholders and such would be happy about losing many billions in revenue by pulling out of the UK for the sake of adding more games to gamepass.
It's to try and appease the CMA regulator, this concession does not apply to only the UK, the deal has always needed CMA approval.
So much for those who thought MS would just ignore the CMA and rush the deal closed, or pull the entire MS business out of the UK though, that was always crazy talk.
I just hope this doesn't encourage Jim to try the same thing again any time soon.
The reason I made this comment is because I'm tired of battle passes, extraction/co op shooters that all look the same as each other, and Jim choosing to show these off the most at the last much anticipated showcase.

I'd give it a 7, as someone got a pretty early copy the exploration is the biggest letdown, just barren, procedural generated wastelands with boundaries.
