75% of Xbox owners, the smallest console base by some margin.
Over 80% of PS5 purchases are the disc edition, although the detachable disc drive means Sony are just doing a lighter version of the leaked revised XSX anyway.
I only buy the odd physical game that I want for my modest collection these days, but I don't like how MS are trying to force the industry digital only subscriptions much faster, especially with their cloud hybrid system from the le...
Wonder how long this newly created troll account with only a few posts will last.
Please provide sell through numbers of starfield, on Xbox consoles preferably too if you have those.
@zeref so your post is 'im not including things which weaken my argument' then, while also forgetting demons souls, but let me guess, then remakes conveniently won't count lol.
So much for being pro competition.
Way to completely miss the point.
What's interesting about this is, it's across 3 platforms in 3.5 years. FF16 sells almost half of this in a matter of days, but a certain group are convinced it's a failure.
Both games have clearly sold well, but they can't carry the weight of every bad decision a publisher makes.
@software
'They did skip Xbox like you said, and it' was obviously not a good idea,'
Nah this is just a narrative being spun by xbox fanboys and their ridiculous hate campaign against FF16 convincing themselves it has failed and is 100% the reason SE have slashed 2 billion.
Releasing it on xbox would barely move the needle, JRPGs sell poorly on there and gamepass further cannibalises sales, as MS have admitted themselves.
...
Congrats to MS for buying up an in development game and slapping their logo on it indeed.
Also why are you copying and pasting this comment so many times?
Yeah, I'm sure the whopping sales potential of an xbox version, which JRPGs typically perform poorly on, and with gamepass cannibilisation really would have made up for the company as a whole dropping 2 billion. It should get a decent bump from the PC version though at least.
Also FF16 was not the driving factor behind this and you know it.
*players not copies sold, though I'm sure it'll sell very well on steam at least, but we know MS won't reveal any numbers outside of 'engagement'.
And whether you or any of us likes it or not, hard to see ToTK not winning goty...
@hoy where did I say every single one of those players was a gamepass give away? We'll never know because MS are all smoke and mirrors about that, but I can wager it's a fair chunk of them.
Honestly, as one of those players even prior to release, I wouldn't brag so much, easy to shout from the hills when the game is basically given away on consoles.
Strong sales on steam I expect, but I look forward to seeing MS reveal copies sold, particularly on consoles and how much gamepass subscribers went up by, who knows what MS count as a 'player' these days.
@rdeal
I had an early copy and did not rush the story, I never rush games like this. I tried to enjoy the exploration but when it's mostly just procedurally generated barren wastelands with repetitive actvitis it got old for me fast.
Yeah this is pretty ridiculous really. Employees and big bosses from both camps will absolutely be playing games from all publishers.
Jim was married for quite some years so that doesn't really add up does it? I also fail to see how that relates in any way to reviewing a game? lol
Yep, there's nothing seemless about it, I think a 4/10 is harsh, I finished the story the other day and I'd rate it a 6, maybe a 6.5, not a bad game per se, but very underwhelmed is how I'd describe it for me.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I just can't fathom the 9 and 10 scores, interested to see where it'll end up score wise on metacritic, as it's definitely skewed with the selective code distribution so far
@dandizzle
I played the game early, and jins comment is accurate.
@sonic and IGNs 7/10 also isn't there yet, that's been live for days though, seems a bit weird to me..
I'd give it a 7, as someone got a pretty early copy the exploration is the biggest letdown, just barren, procedural generated wastelands with boundaries.
87 on console, also based on only 54 reviews (50 for PC), many other critic reviews have yet to be added, including main IGNs 7/10 for some reason which has been live for days, it'll remain in the 80s, likely not as high as 87/88.
Also if you read the article there's no mention of Playstation exclusives, it's purely the views of some starfield players, having played it early myself i agree with some of the criticisms, exploring 90% procedurally generated barren ...
'Xbox and Nintendo fans can´t no longer play Spider-Man games since Sony made it exclusive to Playstation and you don´t see Xbox and Nintendo gamers crying over it.'
Not even remotely comparable scenarios and you know it.
Maybe there'd be a recent Spiderman game on Xbox if MS didn't turn down marvels deal.
