I'll spare my sympathies after MS spent 80 billion on content that was already coming to Xbox and cancelling PS5 builds of various games.
Tell me why Sony should put their games on a console that's selling at a snails pace compared to their own platform, where msot of the fanbase is still drunk on gamepass and won't buy the games anyway? Also after MS spending 80 billion, making countless multiplatforms future uncertain on the playstation platform, why should Sony do MS any favours? If MS want to put some more of their games beyond the 4 on playstation then that's on them, this is exactly the sort of narrative Phil ...
I'd be surprised if the comment is even 1% genuine lol.
@Lightning
I'm specifcially referring to the '1st party' argument that xbox fanboys spin these days, not exclusives a a whole. FF16 gets conveniently ignored in the PS5 2023 lineup when it shouldn't have done. They often dismiss FF7, Helldivers, Stellar Blade just because it's not from a first party studio specifically. At the end of these day these are all games not launching on Xbox, first party or not, and it's ridiculous to pretend like they don&...
Great post.
Also lets not forget they have just released Helldivers 2 which is doing well, Steller Blade is coming and Rise of the Ronin, IPs they have funded and own. I know xbox fans these days like to pretend only first party exclusives only count for some reason. But right there there have 3 Playstation owned IPs being released in the next few months. And in a couple of weeks FF7 Rebirth, one of the biggest games of the year for sure, not releasing on their main rival p...
And the daily alt account creating troll.
That would be really cool.
Also the ads are a nightmare on mobile, huge ads in the top left of the screen taking up like 50% of the damn room...
Eh, these guys are the worst shills and always fuel the fanboy fire.
Obscure and the daily alt account creating troll on life support.
When will they realise they aren't going to be the the next fortnite. If everyone tries to make a game that forces or makes you want to login daily for hours then it's just going to result in everyone playing little to none of them as there are too many, most of them fail.
Live service is a disease to the industry.
I'm curious, do games like FF7 Rebirth, Rise of the Ronin just magically no longer count as playstation games or an advantageous release for playstation just for not being third party? Even though Sony own the former IP? And they aren't coming to Xbox as of now?
Goalposts moved and now only games directly made by first party count, even if the IP is owned and not made by a first party studio, they don't count. See how ridiculous it sounds? lol
'as well as mobile, where we now, have over 200 million monthly active users alone, inclusive of Activision Blizzard King'
There's your context. They'll probably start including every playstation\switch player playing an activision game next, if they haven't already in that figure.
It's not the best comparison imo. Hellblade 2 isn't a full length AAA game, but a smaller game with similar length to the original as the recently revealed, and I have 0 faith all that would relate in cheaper games.
"I have multiple systems so cannot possibly be biased"
Sure buddy.
It was never about rataining talent, it was only ever about swooping up as many IPs as possible because MS have been too inept to make a half decent new IP for like 15 years.
It does look good but if starfield didn't do a thing I doubt this will have much of an impact, looking forward to trying it though.
I don't see many people disputing it wouldn't have sold well on Steam, Bethesda games are always big on PC and it was a given imo, but it was in development for many years and probably had a really big budget.
The debate is around it's impact on xbox console and GP subs, and MS don't give any numbers so not sure why people are expected to think.
Must admit I do like the look of this and certain to give it a try. I could tell straight away this was a Ryan Mccaffrey piece though lol.
He is in his 80s so I would be weird, and I imagine would command a fairly hefty fee.
Who does it benefit for not having decades old multiplatform IPs no longer on playstation? Phil talks about Helldivers 2 when MS clearly money-hatted Palworld which released recently.
That's what everyone should be asking Phil, he's so full of it lol.
