How many times of late have we seen these "rumor busters?"
We need better confirmation before stories like this get posted, only to be retracted a few hours later.
Very clever. Forge has endless possibilities.
Memo to Bungie: In addition to new maps, please release more material for Forge.
Looks like a fun rental title. I haven't had a good blood-and-guts game since Dead Rising.
BTW, keep it away from Jack Thompson...I mean, it has two things he's allergic to: Boobs and blood. He probably like barbarians...oiled up, in thongs, with BIG swords...
One man's opinion.
As someone who has played many, many shooters on both the PC and consoles, I can say that the PC has certain advantages when it comes to the mouse/keyboard combo and frequent jumps in graphical quality. Many of the best shooters have been PC first, then ported to console (Far Cry, Doom 3, etc).
BUT, I don't see consoles as being "way behind" PCs when it comes to shooters, and consoles have certain advantages, too: Any game for your co...
Someone please enlighten me:
Will there be BC AT ALL? No Emotion Engine, to be sure, but what about software emulation? Any chance of that?
I can't imagine Sony releasing a system that's completely gimped of any BC possibilities. Ignoring thousands of PS2 and PS1 games would be a major mistake--no GT3 or 4, no God Of War, no Ico, Ratchet and Clank, etc.
Anyone have any info?

So when MS hands Rockstar a blank check to get it on the 360...
Outsourced.
Rushed to market.
One billion dollars.
Can they recover and make this holiday theirs?
The Falcons are coming at just the right time; assuming they're more reliable (they can't be any worse), and coupled with the release of Halo 3, and MS has the recipe for success...
...assuming they can recover public trust lost in the whole RRoD mess.
Very welcome news.
Even great games like BioShock and Halo 3 come in under 15 hours or so; if the gameplay is solid, then Assassin's Creed will be an involved experience, likely on the scale of a good RPG.
Can't wait.
How far will I go?
Well, I borrowed a friend's Live Camera just to get an achievement in Rayman;
I replayed Prey just for the Cherokee achievement (65 points);
I spent last night doing all of the Halo 3 meta-games for 90 points;
And I spent hours hunting for orbs in Crackdown.
But PAYING for an achievement? Sorry, not likely to do that. I have friends who are total achievement whores, and even they may stop at that.
Five reviews are hardly a definitive sample. Wait until it has fifteen to twenty reviews before passing judgment. That will be the best way to determine if it stinks or not.
I can relate...I mean, the Little Sisters take it pretty hard when a Big Daddy is killed. And the game's "good" ending is actually pretty touching, and although some have objected to it, I though it was appropriate.
***Spoiler***
It's like when, in Prey, you have to put Jen out of her misery, or the deaths of certain secondary characters in Halo 3...when a game has the right combination of believable characters, script, and voice acting, a character's ...
It's amazing that Mega Man turned into such a durable series when the original box art was that awful. In fact, the first time I rented it, the box was missing...the rental place just had a generic box that said "Mega Man" on the shelf. Had I seen the original art, there's no way I would have rented it. Looks awful.
As someone who is now on his 5th unit since Oct. 2006, I hope and pray that this FINALLY fixes the RRoD issue and makes the console more reliable.
MS has the software, the great Live service, and some killer exclusives...now they need reliable hardware to go with it. Hope this does it.
"It’s Playstation fanboys vs. Xbox fanboys and we are on round 100. It’s time for the fans of the next generation systems to join hands and fight for what’s really important…the games."
"Hating on another piece of plastic and silicone proves nothing. It shows that you are jealous, thoughtless, immature and brainless. Why not take all of that negative energy and use it to make your gaming experience better?"
"However, do you honestly th...
Overkill.
How to get the Marathon Man/Terminal achievement:
You must read through the whole initial message (you can skip ahead if needed). After you reach the end of the initial message, wait a few seconds, and the screen turns red. Wait a few more seconds, and a secret message appears. You need to read the whole message...once you get to "fragment ends," you're done. Do that with all 7 terminals.
I've been told that you have to do them in order, but I think I ...
Agreed, and bubbles.
Love/hate relationships are very much a part of anything to do with MS products.
I used to be more of a 360 fanboy, but four defective consoles (in less than a year, natch), some overpriced accessories, and some time with a friend's PS3 made me soften my stance a bit.
I wouldn't give up my system for anything, tho. Great games and Xbox Live more than make up for my frustrations.
Yes, yes, and yes.
Rocked my world and made the earth move.
Between that and BioShock, my cup runneth over.
(Expect a burst dam when Mass Effect comes out)
Psychonauts and Okami: The best games that (almost) nobody played.
