From a 360 owner:

I love my 360....love the experience it brings to me, and it definitely has some great, kick-@ss games...and I agree wholeheartedly with what this article has to say about the system's better qualities.

But there are some things that the PS3 has that I wish I could get on my 360:

--Reliable hardware (I'm on my 5th 360; hey, I'm entitled to be critical). Hopefully, the Falcon upgrade fixes this.

--Non-proprietary ha...

It's either:

40GB PS3 @ $399 (likely)

-or-

A new game/killer app (less likely)

So, if it's the 40GB model, what will MS do in response? They just cut the price on the 360; have costs dropped enough that they could do it again?

Or would it be the rumored $199 Core?

"360 is dead/dying"

"PS3 is dead/dying"

*YAWN*

How many times have we seen articles like this on this site?

Wake me when poorly-written flame-bait like this is no longer approved as "news" on this site.

Fun thing to do in Prey, in multiplayer: Run towards an explosive crawler trap set by an opponent, and jump when you set it off...you get to watch your character's soul blasted from your lifeless corpse.

And when it comes to in-game carnage, very few things beat the Cerebral Bore from Turok.

Has anyone yet figured out how to tell them apart from the Zephyrs, other than opening up the system?

Wonder if MS is waiting until all of the Zephyrs are sold before promoting the Falcon.

Here's hoping this fixes--or at least significantly curtails--the RRoD issues.

Best Buy and Target got rid of them a while back, and now it looks like the original Core is no more...

...making room for the new Core, with the rumored 256 MB memory card and multiple arcade games included? (And how about some HD cables in the box, MS?)

Their "Wii fighter," as the case may be?

We'll see, but I think there's a better than average chance it will happen.

If it happens, it happens.

If it doesn't, it doesn't.

Deal with it.

About bloody time. Let's hope this resolves those RRoD issues, or at least, curbs them significantly.

So, how do we identify them?

The Zephyr models actually say "zephyr" on the box. Will these say "Falcon," or at least, will they say so in the future?

I think the Wii will see a small decline in sales once the novelty wears off...but as long as Nintendo keeps the system supplied with quality titles and continues to appeal to the casual gamer, then the Wii will thrive.

Once again, the perfect pic for a Jack Thompson story...first a straitjacket, and now this.

Love it!

There's a big difference between having excessive hype (Halo 3) and having excessive hype and not delivering on the promise (Daikatana, Enter the Matrix).

Halo 3 delivered on its promise and hype; Pac-Man was overpromoted in pop-culture, but was almost universally loved and played; Madden is mostly the same game each time, but was greatly improved this year.

Those games were surrounded by hype but backed it up. Daikatana and Enter the Matrix did not.

"We are well beyond the point in time where we should have been talking about the new, single high-def format eclipsing that critical juncture that marketers and analysts search for, that peak period when titles for high-def exceed those for first-generation DVD. Instead, we're still treating the owners of the first- and second-generation high-def consoles as early adopters, and every other customer as a potential market."

"But like the incessant battle between &...

@Lightning...

Sour grapes?

Jeez, man, you can't even admit that this is a unique and incredible phenomenon...that this brings attention not just to the 360 and Microsoft...

...but also to GAMING in GENERAL.

This is GOOD for the industry, regardless of who benefits from it.

Just like the Wii, which has brought the casual gamer into the fold.

More and more people are seeing gaming as more than a niche gen...

Very, very, VERY impressive.

I will not resort to any fanboyish comments towards the competition; rather, I will simply enjoy the game.

The little handheld that could...never, ever underestimate Nintendo when it comes to handheld systems (we'll make an exception for Virtual Boy).

Good job, Nintendo.

@PS3 Fanboy...

You are the first person I have seen complaining about "stuttering" issues with BioShock...and that counts this site and its forum, plus about two DOZEN more sites and forums that I frequent.

Sounds like you're making things up, in an effort to troll/gain attention.

All you're doing is bringing down PS3 fans, gamers, and this site.

Viva Pinata would be GREAT on the Wii...it would allow more people to appreciate how good the game actually is. Perfect game for the system's target demographic, and the motion controls would put a good spin on the game's play.

As for BioShock...Just a hunch...but I think that MS will push HARD to keep this a 360 exclusive.
