I enjoy my 360, and I enjoy Live...and I don't mind paying for it.
But this is an indefensible move by MS...it's an unnecessary screw-job on Silver members.
I say that for ANY numbers from VG...be they pro- or anti- PS3, 360, Wii, whatever...their numbers are best used for ESTIMATES.
At no point did I say I was angry/upset with those numbers...you just implied it based on the fact that I expressed caution at reading too much into numbers that are, at best, guesstimations.
I DO NOT own shares in MS, BioWare, or anyone who is associated with the game, and could CARE LESS if it sells well or not.
And you...
So, we have to choose from these games, probably the best lineup ever:
Mario Galaxy
Halo 3
BioShock
Uncharted
Mass Effect
Rock Band
Ratchet and Clank
Assassin's Creed
Call of Duty 4
Orange Box
Metroid Prime 3
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!*
(head exploded from trying to decide)
I'm going to test it on my system today...looking forward to all that sweet video goodness.
It's VG Chartz...best taken with a BIG grain of salt.
After this fiasco, can we trust a review ever again?
Seriously, how will we know if the reviewer has been bribed or coerced into writing a positive review?
I don't follow reviews religiously--some of my favorite games have gotten mixed and middling reviews--but generally, if a game gets all bad reviews, it's usually a good sign that it stinks.
But if a game gets 5/10 from many reviewers, and 9/10 from one, can we now assume that there's something...
Hopefully this is a minor issue and doesn't affect too many people.
Otherwise, this might be the best update the system's gotten yet.
Troll much?
Why do you bother jumping into the middle of 360 news to post crap like this?
Not a big deal, just as long as there's demand for more sequels, and as long as they keep the quality high. Don't just churn out sequels for a quick buck.
That's a damn shame, since Infinity did a FANTASTIC job on CoD4, successfully taking it from WWII to modern without a hitch.
The only reason I can think of: ActiBlizzard has them working on something bigger.
So, who will do CoD5?
Found a great pic of Jack and a couple of his "friends":
I'm sorry, what was this story about? Something on the main page distracted me...
I love RPGs...be they Western, Japanese, or whatever. I already have Oblivion, and still have KOTOR, Baldur's Gate 1&2, D&D Heroes, Jade Empire, and Fable from Xbox.
I've played Two Worlds: Not bad, but the glitches make things harder than they should be. Hopefully, the expansion will be better.
Blue Dragon is on my Christmas list.
Lost Odyssey, Last Remnant, and Fable 2 are must-haves for me.
Too bad Eternal Sonata didn't do...
Well, as long as he delivers on his promises, I can stand another delay. Gives my pocketbook time to recover from this fall and next spring.
Sweeeeet. There's gonna be a river--nay, a TORRENT--of video flowing from my PC to my 360. My Elite's large HD is definitely going to come in handy.
Wait for the NPD numbers.
That software attach rate doesn't surprise me...if there's one thing we 360 owners do, it's buy games...lots of them.
I'm a little surprised at the higher attach rate for the Wii over the PS3...I would have thought that R&C, Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, CoD4, and the like would have boosted the PS3 higher than the Wii, in spite of the release of Mario Galaxy.
When individual software numbers are released, maybe we'll see what's driving the Wii attachment rat...
W...T...F...?
Who are they kidding?
After the next update, I'll have just one original Xbox game that won't play on my 360: Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath.
Also, am I the only one who thinks that the Xbox Classics are overpriced? I mean, it's supposed to be $15 per title, right? Well, you can buy Halo and Fable for ten bucks each...why would you pay more to DL them?
$5-10 each would be a reasonable price.
Good job, EA. And the Rock Band bundles my store received today had a sticker on them that stated if they had any problems, to contact EA and not take it back to the retailer.
