Anyone who says that the 360 has nothing to offer after this fall's killer lineup of titles should take a long look at this.

One question: Where's Banjo-Kazooie? Pushed to '09, I'll bet. Darn.

One guess: if "Hollywood" means a movie-based title, then James Cameron's "Avatar," which looks like it would make a kick-@ss game.

My .02 worth:

Worst Wii game: Anubis 2 (awful)

Worst 360 game: Hour of Victory

Worst PS3 game: Beowulf (only because it was slightly worse than the dreadful 360 version)

Worst trend: Bad ports

Even worse trend: Rabid fanboys. :(

Nice month, MS.

Now, maintain it.

Keep the games coming.

"Since its release in North America on Oct. 26, 2000, more than 120 million hardware units and more than a billion units of PlayStation 2 software have sold worldwide."

A BILLION. Wow.

Give the DS a few years, and maybe it will challenge that number.

Here you go...Merry Christmas!

BTW, are you related to the shifty-eyed dog from the Simpsons...?

I partially agree with you...why has R&C Future nearly dropped off the charts? That's sad.

Hopefully, Uncharted does better. I say that because I love great games, regardless of the system, and after hearing so many Sony fans talk up R&C, and how great it would be, and then....no one seems to buy it. Sad.

Great news all around. Good for gamers, developers, and the industry. Sweet.

EDIT: LOL at the disagree.

Here's a thought for those of us who have purchased/will purchase the Orange Box: Release EP. III on the consoles as an expansion-type game at a reasonable price. No reason console gamers shouldn't be able to finish the story.

-Also-

Release HL2 and all three Episodes in a single package for PC and consoles.

-And-

Release Portal by itself at $20 for consoles and PC. More people need to experience the greatness of Portal.

Overlord is an underrated gem; the concept of playing as the bad guy isn't new, but this game lets you be truly demented. It's like something Tolkien would write during a two-week coke, smack, and Guinness bender. :)

The Darkness was pretty solid, though the graphics were a little shaky, But any game that lets you use a virtual black hole to suck in and kill your enemies gets a vote from me. (Anyone remember the "World's Smallest Black Hole" weapon from Armed and Dang...

But with all the worst of the Sony trolls in this thread, I gotta speak up. (Some of you 360 fans are trolling too: Stop it).

So, look at these:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site...

I have 28 people on my friends list, a mix of co-workers, friends, and good players I met online. I regularly play online with maybe a dozen of them, but even the others are usually good for a quick Halo 3 match or a little Heavy Weapon.

Truthfully, who needs more than 100 friends? Maybe a large clan of gamers, but otherwise...why?

Well, every system has crappy games. It's the nature of the beast: Companies are always making easy bucks off a hot trend or a quick port or a bad licensed title.

The goal for a console is to have far more quality games than crap. Imagine the PS2 w/o God of War, or GT3, or GTA, or SOCOM...but with lots of games like Haven. Think it still sells 100+ million?

The Wii has some great games, and many quality ones. The problem is, too many companies (cough cough Ubisof...

As much as I enjoy Halo 3, I found BioShock to be a far more original and innovative game. Same with Mario Galaxy...just when Nintendo seems to have milked Mario dry, along comes another gem that reinvents platform gaming. Either of those would have been a better choice for GoTY.

More notable, though, is what's missing:

--No Ratchet? Seriously, I don't own a PS3, but I know good games when I play them. That's a good game. Ditto Uncharted, for that matter.

So it seems to be universal...if there's one thing we 360 owners do, it's buy lots and lots of games.

Wow, that's a pretty rotten score--the lowest I can remember seeing from IGN. Anyone seen any that were lower?
