LOL, MART.
I'd buy it. :)
It's not a bad game, but it's not AAA, either. Whether or not it's worth forty bucks is up to you.
And I could care less about it looking better or worse on any particular system. The flaws in the game--such as the corny story and unbalanced weapons and enemies--will still be there, regardless of the system.
OK, Sega, if there's to be no new Dreamcast...
...then focus your time and money...
...on FIXING SONIC!
My wish list for the Wii:
External hard drive
More system colors (black Wii, anyone?)
More Virtual Console games
HD support (720, at least)
Fewer crappy ports, better original titles.
Duck Hunt + Wii Zapper = great fun.
Imagine Star Tropics for DS...or Wii. Or Kid Icarus. Sweeeet.
And, I'd love to see a new Blaster Master game.
Proof? Cite sources, please.
Amen brother! Agreed and bubbles.
Actually, I didn't mind "the Library" in H1 that much...on the harder modes, it becomes a run-and-gun fight for survival. But on Normal and Easy...yeah, a pain in the @ss.
However, the Cortana level from Halo 3 would get a vote from me...seriously, that area isn't challenging...it's ANNOYING.
Sorry, HD-DVD fans...but if this happens, game over for HD-DVD.
As little as I want one of Sony's cram-it-down-your-throat proprietary formats to win out, this would give them the edge they need to finish this format war.
Assuming it happens, of course.
I do envy PS3 owners for their ability to fully exploit the mod capabilities of UT3...c'mon, MS, get on the boat!!!
I had a BLAST modding Quake maps...imagine the potential for Halo or BioShock-themed mods on the 360...
Limitless possibilities....if only MS will get (un)real!
Oops...wrong thread. Mis-post.
WTF?
The WWII genre has been milked dry...I mean, there may still be stories to tell and areas to explore...but one would have thought that due to the massive success that came with modernizing the series, Activision would have made that the standard.
Guess not.
Another p!ssing contest...who cares?
Just play the game!
Best Buy in the St. Louis area.
Most of the things on the list are fixable or easily addressed...but that lack of backwards-compatibility in the 40GB stymies me.
No God of War? GT3 or 4, GTA games, Ratchet, Final Fantasy, etc?
WTF?
Lair: If they could bring analog controls to it, than maybe they can salvage the gameplay. There's not a whole lot wrong with the game that a change of control options wouldn't fix.
Shadowrun: Decent gameplay, but limited maps and options, lack of campaign mode, and a high price killed it.
Games that should be on the list at least as (dis)honorable mentions: Blacksite: Area 51 (should have been better), Armored Core 4, Kane and Lynch, Two Worlds, and to a degree,...
Let's see...my last DVD player cost me less than $50...I have four stand-alone players in my house...so why would I add additional wear and tear to my game system by using it to play DVDs?
Seriously, I never used my original Xbox or Playstation units for DVD playback...so this is a non-issue for me.
Now, if I had a PS3, I'd be sorely tempted to use it for Blu-Ray, just to see what it's like on my TV...but I'd also be concerned about shortening the life of my syst...
GOD FORBID.
How about "all of the above?"
Seriously, how can one pick from such a killer list?
Here's hoping the rest of the world appreciates NMH...too bad the Japanese don't seem to. Sad.
