And this is just the beta.

The best is yet to come.

Can't wait for September 25th!

Exit wasn't a bad game. Maybe it will work better on a console than on a portable.

Metroid has a 20+ year record of greatness and is one of Nintendo's more recognizable franchises...this will sell.

I mean, we know Samus can kick Master Chief's armor-clad butt...so why can't this outsell Halo 3? ;)

(Seriously, this will be a good seller. Probably not Halo 3/GTA good, but definitely a million +).

I love dragons and fantasy games...where I'm concerned, this is a match made in heaven.

Oh well. No Lair for my 360. I guess I'll just have to make do with Halo 3, Mass Effect, BioShock, Shadowrun, Too Human, Assassins's Creed, Forza 2...and many others.

And those are just the major AAA titles!

Love having a 360 right now.

(But I wish I could get Lair...that looks great)

Oh well, that's all the excuse I need to upgrade my PC.

Multiple titles for Wii, 360, and that old warhorse, PS2. PS3 follows a very successful March with an OK April; things could be worse next month, as the only major PS3 titles for May are MLB: The Show (very good) and Pirates and Surf's Up (meh). There are some good titles forthcoming for the PS3 this summer (Lair, for one), as well as the other systems. I think we'll see this mix hold up for a while.

Hadn't heard that yet. Yay! (does happy gamer dance)

Wow...very impressive. Although I think the Unreal 3 is still a little better, this is definitely quality stuff...I think Croteam could farm this engine out to quite a few games, and maybe cheaper than U3. Imagine being a smaller dev and having this at your command, for a reasonable price. Not bad.

Now, Croteam, get cracking on Serious Sam 3!

Three times?!?

The only reason I can think of for this happening over and over is that there is a generic "pool" of images out there for articles to draw from--maybe a website--and they're labeled wrong there. Something like that happened when I was in college--three different area newspapers had the same wrong file photo for a building.

Aside than that, it's someone with an odd sense of humor.

Forgot about those.

I'm broke before summer even begins!

Not a bad list, especially given the "dead zone" that summer releases usually comprise. I think I may actually pick up Shadowrun, having enjoyed the pen-and-paper version in college.

The Darkness looks good...might be worth a rental, or purchasing on sale.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma...now PS3 owners can have their @sses handed to them six different ways from Saturday, just like those of us who had the Xbox version did. Man, that game was HARD. But FUN!

Rygar

Goldeneye

Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3 (w/multiplayer, or it's wasted), Hexen, Heretic

Sega classics (Golden Axe, original Sonic)

More games like Aegis Wing and Eets (best fun I've had in a while).

Classic Star Wars games (X-Wing Vs. Tie-Fighter, etc).

Hellbender, anyone? I enjoyed it.

Maybe some of the older SimCity games.

...and I can't get it for my 360. Rats. MLB 2K7 is hardly a compensation for it. Here's hoping that the exclusive license nonsense from EA and 2K comes to an end, and we can have MVP and 2K Football again.

1--People are happy with DVD, most of them having only recently adopted it. Little chance they're going to want to replace their recent DVD purchases with a more expensive HD version, not to mention the price of the players.

2--The majority of homeowners do not own an HDTV yet.

Oh please merciful God let this come to the 360 so I can play it!

Yeah, I know: Fat chance...but I can hope.

Damn this looks good.

Cash. Pure and simple.

The Wii is about gameplay, not graphics. Methinks people are jealous of its out-of-the-blue success.

A lack of games is definitely hurting them right now...but so is their price point. No matter how you try to sell the PS3's impressive technology, the price point is hurting them.

I cannot say this enough: Sony established their console dominance on sales to average Janes and Joes, people who are willing to plunk down $200-$300 for a system for the kids...but not $600. (To be fair, I sell very few 360s to families...mostly teens and young adults).

Kameo and Viva Pinata are two of my favorite games for the 360, and Viva has become an addiction for me, my wife, and my son. (We each have our own garden). Kameo's gameplay, with its combos and frequent action, make it an underrated gem.

However, I too was disappointed with PD:Zero. It felt rushed, and was a so-so follow up to one of the definitive games of recent years.

Rare's Xbox releases were a mixed bag. Although Conker: Live and Reloaded was fun, Grabbed...
