On the other side of the coin, remakes can also totally ruin the old game if they try to implement too many new things that changes the original from what it was. Shadow of the Colossus is the correct way to remake an old game. Jist update it from the ground up visually. Maybe enhance gameplay mechanics. But don't change the game itself.

It would be different if it were some new IP that people weren't sure about. But Red Dead is one of the most acclaimed games of last gen and investors know fans have been clamboring for a new one.

Lets also be honest about something else. Pretty much all consoles have a slow start with launch software. Maybe one or two gems, but for the most part launch games are usually nothing special.

I'm not sure why you are responding to me. You are clearly talking about the other guy's comment. But if it makes you feel any better, my buddy's name was "ANABORTEDFETUS".
So whenever we were playing Battlefield or other games like that it was say "Killed by an ANABORTEDFETUS".

This happened to my buddy too. His name really was offensive, no doubt about it. But he created it back in the early days of PS3 and he got banned about a year ago for it.
Kind of ridiculous. How about adding the functionality to either not accept offensive words (I mean, even mobile games have this), or the ability to change your name. Then you can just give people warnings and tell them if they don't change it they risk getting banned.
Personally I would want ot like the new PS4 Shadow of the Colossus. Don't change anything other than the graphics. (For the most part)
Is anyone forcing you or anyone else to buy those bad games? I'm not sure how the existence of bad games is a direct result of more sales.

What is the point of this article? At no point does this guy even mention a single negative impact these sales have. He's just basically complaining that there are so many sales.
To be fair, I would have wanted Kojima to continue making Metal Gear games. Maybe I will feel differently once they show something of substance for Death Stranding and not just a handful of cryptic-ass cutscenes.
But Metal Gear has been one of my favorite game franchises since the original came out on Nintendo when I was a little kid. So the thought of never playing another Kojima-produced Metal Gear is kind of heart breaking.
