They already give you the biggest cheat you'll ever need by allowing you to summon 7 helpers at the same time, and then to keep summoning them.

This is seriously the easiest boss I've had to fight yet.

I mean, Radahn is already one of the easiest bosses in the game. You can just keep running around and summoning the helpers over and over again and then doing a quick drive by on your horse every now and then while he's distracted. He's the only boss I can remember from any souls game that I was able to beat without taking any damage.

If boss design is what makes From Software's games, that's cool. But Godrick is like the 2nd boss. You haven't even begun to scratch the surface of whats out there. There are over 80 bosses in the game. Most of those are out in the world and optional, but the main quest line bosses are the big bads you would expect.

I just think it's way too early to say you're disappointed with the bosses after only fighting 2 of the main story bosses.

The only thing ls that are less difficult in Elden Ring is how many check points there are, and the fact that you can earn health potions back by defeating a group of enemies.

I know a lot of people say that you can always just go grind easier enemies and level yourself up before trying difficult enemies, which is true, but you could do that in Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodbourne also. All you had to do was go back to a level or area you already beat in those games a...

It's really not. It's a little more forgiving, but the reason I say this is mostly because Sites of Grace are far more prevalent. There's a lot to be said about the difficulty of a game when you have more checkpoints. But when you enter into dungeons or castles it really does suddenly become a Dark Souls game. I look at it like the open world serves as an overworked that houses the different levels. Kind of like the church in Demon's Souls, where you went in and just warped t...

I agree with you, to an extent, but also agree with Obekisk92. I'm pretty sick of the open formula also. It's basically the same in every game, with the only real difference being how meaningful side quests are. That has kind of become the defining aspect in open world games, is how meaningful and varied the quests are.

But Elden Ring is...different. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it just feels so different from your average open world game. It makes ...

@Nacho_Z

I did read the article. And I'm not saying the article said its bad. What I'm saying is that this game's difficulty can 100% be frustrating. Anyone that has played the Souls series has gotten frustrated as hell at one point (likely several points) in every single one of them. But that kind of frustration is not a bad thing. In fact, it makes overcoming that frustratingly difficult obstacle even more rewarding. Which is really what we all love so much a...

I never said ghe article said its bad....

It's not misleading. People just don't understand that there are different types of frustration. The game is frustrating because of its difficulty. But that being hard doesn't make it a bad game.

Whereas, saying a game is frustrating because it has tons of bugs is an entirely different story.

1537d ago 1 agree4 disagreeView comment

Because it's difficulty can get frustrating when stuck on a boss that you've tried to heat 30 times. But the game is built that way on purpose. All Souls games are. It's the feeling of finally beating that insanely difficult boss that makes it so great.

There are different types of frustration. If they said the game was frustrating because it was full of bugs, but then called it "master class", then yes, you would have a point. But thats not what this ...

@TheRealTedCruz

You have to remember that EA wasn't always a terrible money grubbing studio either. You can see their influence grow more and more over the course of the Battlefield series.

The original games didn't have any microtransactions, and only released map packs and expansions. Which is fine in my opinion.

It really didn't start getting real bad until BF3, when they started selling unlockable gun packs, and progres...

Even if this game isn't someone's cup of tea, there's no denying how well made it is. It's nearly a technically flawless game. It launched in amazing condition with no issues that I noticed.

To think that they were learning as they went? Incredible. So many other big developers could learn a thing or two from how this game launched.

I'm a Bethesda fan, but I'm not buying either of those things. At least not anytime soon.

" zero chance this gets delayed. Already got pushed to this fall because they had halo last year. Game is probably done already"

Lol there's no chance this game is done already. Bethesda is known for releasing games full of issues. If this game is done, and they're still waiting 7-8 more months to launch, then it better be in an absolutely flawless state. But it's Bethesda, so we know that won't happen.

I'm pretty sure Sony already said this is the exact reason why there are no themes.
