I thought that. In that case no one will be disappointed that she's not returning because she never would have done in Vs. The expectation was made very clear from the beginning that it was a different time/planet/whatever in the same universe.
Also it's interesting to hear that the English voice recording for Vs has been done at the same time as FFXIII even thought the games release dates are going to be far apart.
I love her honesty. There is no pretending that she loves games more than the reality just because she thinks that's what the reader wants to hear. If it's for the paycheck then she says so (but in the nicest possible way).

It's like talk talking to a hot girl where the conversation is awkward, not because she's hot but for some other reason like she has no chat. Which, in my humble experience, is quite common for hot girls. They have never had to use their personality to get people to talk to them so as such they don't really have anything interesting to say.

It's more gothic and bad ass rather than just looking silly. Now, I appreciate that "silly" went with her character in the last game but from just a looks standpoint I prefer this look......it's hot.

I actually really liked the song. It set a deep mood and gave me a feeling of what the story my contain. I think setting/summing up the mood of the game is the main role of the theme song and this definitely does that.
I don't think time frame has anything to do with it. It's the experiences that make it.
Say you never left your home but then took a 20 day back packing trip through maybe poverty stricken Africa. It doesn't matter that it was only 20 days what you saw may affect you profoundly. Of course your core personality wouldn't change but that doesn't mean you won't be a different person when you come back from that experience.

Some uematsu's themes and melodies were as great and memorable as they have ever been.
That's about the one thing it didn't have. For me character development is when they change and grow based on the experiences they are having. In FFXII the characters when through that big epic journey battling everything in sight and changing things for the future for every more and at the end of it.......they are all exactly the same.

I remember at the time thinking that while it was a disrespectful and should never have happened it was also a real *exaggeration* of what Ubisoft were using her for. She was an attractive girl with a "real" game production job so make her a spokes person was a no-brainer for them.

That's because the 3D firmware update so far has only been for games. Sony is releasing another update later in the year that will allow the PS3 to support 3d movies as well.
Will the big sells of FFXIII tell square that they have done a great job? That this is what gamers want from a Final fantasy? In some way's I truly wish it bombed.
