One doesn't need to be as hyperbolic as this article's title to get Imortus_san's point though. By the way he's narrowly laid the parameters, you're doing damage control and validating his point.
On my wishlist now. :)
No, no. Clumsy is being associated with David Cage. And when it comes to Beyond: Two Souls, I think that applies. I'm having the same "What?!?!" reaction while events transpire as I have with Breen's movies. And I'm laughing along with a lot of the dialogue there too. I think we are getting lost in the weeds. I'll just say this: seeing how I'm playing the comparison game here, look at the part as a conversation part. In hindsight, it seems like it was done...
Well now you lost me here. lol
Let me try to make my point as succinctly as possible with the Neil Breen stuff: "I don't find it all surprising that "French Neil Breen" has done it again in respect to a mismanaged structure, as he's just as clumsy & goofy of a writer in respect to other aspects such as dialogue & heavy-handedness (at least quite often)." Those adjectives were aimed at him in my previous comment.

"70% of the time they're right every time."
WelkinCole having this line prepared for anyone going against the status quo on a Sony exclusive. Totally didn't see that coming.
@Babadook7
Every review brings in clicks though.
The latter. It was more of like a flippant remark tying my frustration with this structure as I did with Beyond: Two Souls years ago. But it's stranger in this context b/c you wouldn't expect it here like you would with someone as clumsy & goofy of a writer as David Cage.
Yes...one of the most popular games of this year means every outlet wants to review it.
"I guess everyone wants to cash in on the controversy even though I think VG charts isn’t on metacritic."
So, that means cashing in doesn't apply here?
The focus is more on whom I'm comparing Neil Breen to, not those specific storytelling issues. Since Beyond: Two Souls is brought up, it's like "of course you'd expect a game writer like David Cage to have such issues, considering he's the equivalent of French Neil Breen after all."
-"I give this review a 7/10 easily and a nod to comma flow and technical attention."
I shall treat this like a gold star. :)
Unless he retools his website for reviews again (instead of exclusively sticking to YouTube), his stuff can't be posted via submissions. Either that or if the rules on this are tweaked in the near future.
When a game news aggregate site submits their own piece on another aggregate site. The absolute sauce of Gaz. ;)
Valorant looks alright. Maybe I'll try out when it comes to consoles.
Wouldn't JJ Abrams be a more applicable comparison? Disney's Star Wars twitter account is still releasing lore-nuggets to explain away Rise of Skywalker's gaping holes.
But utilizing what's stated in an article doesn't magically mean any predetermined assumptions you carry with the question just dissipate. Suggesting their stringent refund policy wasn't profit-focused b/c unanticipated gov't fines after the fact carries an assumption. No narrative needed on my part.
Where's the pretending, really? Thus far, I'm the only third-party observer who's broken down the fundamentals of your back-and-forth with Blad...
Incorrect. There's a fundamental distinction between what Bladesfist is inferring and what you then challenge him on. And what's funny is you'd probably agree with his general assessment elsewhere: there's a TENDENCY (<-important context) for big companies to find ways of maneuvering around the law for the purpose of maximizing profits. Your question literally brings up the assumption of Sony anticipating they'd face million-dollar fines in the process, thus making i...
That's good to know. Here's to its continued success in the face of true censorship.
I think I'll have to--respectfully--disagree/cha llenge the point you're both putting across.
@rainslacker
But aren't you now running into the creative equivalent of having your cake and eating it too? If your initial (but also muddled) assessment of your own artistic work is that it really says nothing except "respect androids or something" despite real-world events mixed in, why then do you get to chime in on your work discussing ...
@TricksterArrow
But that's sort of the problem: the issue depends on who you ask now. The other QD co-founder is now utilizing Detroit's messages with the BLM protests while David Cage wanted it to "not have something to say" before its release.

@Razzer
But you are making an assumption within your first comment. You're pre-supposing Sony expected these fines + lawyer fees when considering their stringent refund policy.
-"So, he answers hyperbole with something even more hyperbolic?"
It's not really more hyperbolic than what this article's title. Let's get real.
-"I have seen many say that it's a good game, even fun. But nothing like what the article posits."
But that's what I'm pointing out. Seeing the elevation of such a sub-par game (or as he termed "bad game") to being deserved to be quantifie...
