Better late than never though, right?
One way to ensure cheevo hunters strive for 100%, right? ;)
@Eidolon
But can anyone outright skip this one while playing the game *naturally* and going for the other achievements? To be clear, I'm ignorant about this game's campaign and whatnot, so I don't know. I'm sure the super-dedicated types lost some time (unfortunately), but this seems like the best solution for all parties.
@Eidolon
Sure, but it's rectified by still netting 100% completion anyways.
Seems like the developers didn't want to worry about handling that headache, so requested MS just drop the cheevo and divy up the points across other ones.
To each their own. I certainly agree that it does capture something new-ish with the formula, but the execution is so wanting. I just can't follow that praise about the story tbh. Just the way stuff is laid out feels so artificial that it eventually becomes white noise towards the end.
Hot take: I actually enjoyed the fantasy level, with exception to a couple of lackluster puzzles. I think it was a nice break from the Reality/Horror Wonderland dynamic. Also gave me Night of the Rabbit vibes.

Jesus... you're just catastrophizing things to the nth degree. Moving past that, I think the better conversation to have stems back to Mojang's release structure overall. Beyond the graphical updates, the Minecraft of today came from a 1.0 w/ plenty of wiggle room for expansion. It's not like you had the Ender Dragon & other Nether stuff from day one. Some stuff was years off. But given its circumstances as a modest indie game with immense creative potential. It's on...
No, no. That's why I put my second sentence. It's a feature users have been clamoring for years.
That is one of the most-requested features on their feedback page. Still, always a good one to reiterate.
Whoa! Slow down, gold. You've got to hand it to 'em when it comes to innovative technologies. They're not perfect, but have some good things going on too.
Let's give Humanity a... mixed bag/10.
Surprised to see Minecraft Legends & Benedict Fox getting shafted more than Redfall. Interested to read the rationale there.
Indeed. I believe this marks the final Stadia exclusive too.
Well... kinda but also not really. Like kneon brought up above, with our current material conditions that's more likely to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. But if our environment was more sensible with currency, finance, etc., having a succession of layoffs in one key industry could just imply another opening up (i.e. less carriage makers is offset by more car manufacturers). There would be dips or hiccups to getting there, but it'd find equilibrium.
And that's fair too. I still think the scope and frequency of recent layoffs across the sector are for the likely downturn that's looming overhead.
My POV: more preliminary layoffs in the tech sector to prep for an oncoming recession.
Either that or roll out bigger expansion cards at a faster rate. It's ridiculous.
It's a real shame because PixelOpus epitomizes the term "unrealized potential" in my eyes. I'll admit I don't think they'd made a good game yet (played both Entwined & Concrete Genie), BUT you can see they had something to build towards while keeping their creative side intact. Sucks we won't see that promising 3rd title now.
Hopefully everyone finds other great jobs in the industry.

@GamingSinceForever
You're baking in an unfair assumption based on marketing decisions. It's practically a given in any industry to constantly remind people of the big, AAA thing that's about to release.
