Glad that I never had that "for boys only" mentality about games when growing up. I guess I'm lucky to have a sister that shared an interest in playing videogames on occasion as far back as the n64/PS1 era.
Edit: Good blog topic, X-Factor.
That's great and all but a million submissions just isn't cool. You know what's cool? A billion submissions. :P
Seriously though, congrats to n4g.
I honestly only expected to grab 1 or 2 votes compared to your blog.
Keep it up :)
In that case, be sure sure to comment on the rest of my upcoming blogs and reviews ;).
While I always respect a "from humble beginnings" story this guys had, their comments have begun to feel empty to me as well. I still have respect for these guys, but their names are starting to feel like..."placeholders" ; rather than "figureheads" for what Bioware's true goals are (if that makes any sense).
*jaw drops*
Many thanks for the bounteous contests and awards, Cat. Thanks to those that voted for my blog/reviews as well.
Feel free to comment or PM me on some of my recent user submissions. :)
Absolutely agree to that. Although it's very doubtful, I'm hoping the designer came up with one more mind-blowing puzzle that just couldn't be left out, or something like that.
More robust singleplayer?
Sad to see mine's the most unlikely out of the three choices.
It's Half Life 0. Freeman teams up with escaped convict Billy Coen and travels to RE's universe to prevent the T-Virus from getting out.
You'll certainly enjoy the idea of them branching out the series like this, but will want it to come back closer to the original's formula after you finished the campaign. I wouldn't be surprised to see if some sort of 1/2 off deal comes around during the summer (basically guaranteed to have one by New Year's).
Those lucky SOB PC gamers also get a juicy 2 or 3 dollars off if they purchased the PC version of Alan Wake. :P
But I can't grow one like that.
/shamed :'(
It's not his business sense that gives him a bad name, but his outrageous predictions.
There's dozens of recent FPS entries that I think are bad or average (just look at some of reviews), yet I would still keep an eye on their progress for their interesting nuances. I think Haze is horrible, but that doesn't mean I'll instantly turn a blind eye to a sequel announcement.
Despite all of the poor review scores, I went ahead and bought Haze for $5 a few months back. To those who purchased this title Day 1: You have my deepest condolences.
Ahhh....that makes sense.
I wonder what inspired the name 'PixelJunk 4am.' Inside story about one of the sound designers?
I'll have to disagree, respectfully, with that. CTR is up there with MK64 and Diddy Kong Racing.
You could say unneeded gimmicks have been added to recent Mario Kart games, but gameplay features in earlier iterations felt like expected steps forward.
It's a shame that half the comments in here are aimed at one poster's foolish "MP3>UC series" statement. It's better to just ignore those and stick to making comments and asking questions about the review itself.
Edit: For the sake of doing just that (lulz):
Since ME3 had the same score, I'm curious to hear which title is your frontrunner for GOTY. Or is it too close to call right now?
"new businesses in other industries take out similar 'loans' all the time. Why should the gaming industry be treated any different?"
Enlighten me on how you came to the conclusion that I believe gaming companies should NEVER receive the same treatment as any other business. My statement is tied together by a few simple points:
- The timing of such a loan which guaranteed the state government wouldn't see a nickel until a few years down...
That's what belts are for.
