Indeed. It's fascinating to see just how far superfluous videogame peripherals have come in regards to technology.

I've never seen/heard the notion milking can't go hand-in-hand with a quality franchise. It's how over-exorbitant the releases within the franchise become that determines if they're milking it.
Given that we've had the RPG equivalent of the Iron Maiden with DA2, it's been upon gamers for quite some time.
^ No, you shouldn't have. Because then I'd have to list an MS-published Rare game I liked and risk public shaming. :P
"When was the last time Rare made a AAA game?"
This explanation has been regurgitated hundreds of times now: their framing of the term "AAA game" is in regards to budget.
Capitalism never seems to thrive when peace is involved.
I thought the mercs controls in Double Agent were pretty intuitive (for its time).
So...because of arbitrary reasons regarding money, time, and 'we don't have part 2 yet' it's not jumping the gun to determine a series of over ten videos (am I right?) is a complete wash for any possibly insightful commentary because of the appetizer dish being so basic?
To be fair, we shouldn't jump the gun on determining the series' insightful qualities outright just from the first video. Judging by what was covered, it seems like the clip's purpose was to be a basic feminist theory on games.
Ahh...that makes sense. I recall thinking of making a review for Halo Wars way back then but ran into that same problem. Not that I absolutely hated the genre, mind you, just wasn't even remotely well-versed to make comparisons of others titles' controls, tactics, depth, etc.
Edit: And yes, my name is indeed awesome. :D
"I don't understand how this is such a difficult concept for you to grasp. You act as though leaving the company would mean there could be no ramifications for saying even the smallest negative thing about whom you previously worked for."
That's a terrible misinterpretation. I'm not suggesting those types of ramifications are present in these situations, only that I don't see how they're analogous to this situation since they don't have to m...
"Try and find an instance where a large (relatively speaking of course) corporation's lawyers wouldn't jump on the chance to go after anyone discrediting the company they represent in even the smallest way."
Since we're talking about former EA employees, this is rather moot. Even more disadvantageous to your point is Zeschuk went out of his way to explain EA's non-involvement, which was made after having left the company last year.
...
Who said their admittance that EA impinged on their development process/ethos/etc., without saying whether it was for the better or worse, would be grounds for that sort of lawsuit? Or are we honestly considering your greatly-exaggerated quote above as the only way they can go about saying it?
Whether it looks bad for EA, Bioware, or both doesn't matter. I'm just picking at that quoted portion which seems to be a fallacious statement considered fact just because it&...
As much as I love that true ending (so much so I agreed before considering the topic :P), it's not a depressing one. In fact, that's probably one of the most heart-warming ones I can remember as a young'in.
Given that they've had ample opportunity to say those things--legality wouldn't be an issue after they left--and haven't, it's more rational to assume Bioware's foul direction (according to most fans) is solely Bioware's fault.
"EA's influence ruins sequels and potentially franchises by making developers go the "accessibility" route (Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 2&3 are considered worse than the original games)."
Didn't the Bioware co-founders refute the notion of EA taking away their autonomy?
For a first blog on here (not sure about your activity elsewhere), I must say this is a good start. The only portion that rubbed me wrong was this:
"I continually see claims of journalists or sites being paid to review games highly, or ones that put their personal feelings into reviews rather than keeping an open and unbiased mindset."
I don't mind the stuff before the comma--which was disheartening for me to see/hear as well, but I can't s...
It's tough for me to tell which is a more sensational reading of the producer's quote: the title or your comment.
@Sitdown
Same here of what I've played so far (at snowy region). It seems to me I'm in the minority regarding this: I also liked PDZ.
