Ahhh...okay. I had an odd feeling part of our conversation was on two different wavelengths. Thanks for you clarifying.
In the end, at least we both profited in one way: more entries in comment lotto. :P

I'm anticipating Smokey editing your comment. [o_o]~
On topic: Perfect timing to make a blog like this with all the rumor articles flying about. I would try to squeeze in a Mod Mode joke for the sake of grabbing it before someone else does...but I got nothing. :/
"If you don't see a psychological thriller in those games, cool, doesn't mean they aren't."
I'm not exactly following this. I didn't hint at the notion those weren't psy. thriller games (which I agree), only that they don't really mirror AW's premise; and by premise I figured we were talking about its obvous defintion in this case: the fundamental concept driving the plot forward. Neither Indigo, Heavy, nor SH4 should come to mind w...
"Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain, Silent Hill: The Room come to mind."
I know those games and none of those should really come to mind. Even looking beyond the premise, the different storytelling 'fabrics' weaved together (manuscripts in particular) do seem like something done differently in games.
"And it wasn't a Hitchcock premise to me. It was a PG version of Stephen King's The Dark Half."

I haven't played too many games regarding psych. thrillers, but I can't recall another game with its Hitchcock-esque premise.
What? A plethora of older video games also showcased that potential.
Look at earlier Lucasarts adventure games or even further back to Zork and other games tied to it.

Why not just meet in the middle?
-Thanks to accessibility being key (which twitch-based gunplay, MP UI, yada yada), it's an easy shooter to pick up and disgest the whole structure. Despite that, the RPG-esque choices involved for your character demand much more understanding than swinging a bat in Wii Sports (you know, a casual title).
-At the same time, the accumulation of that skill doesn't measure up to pinpoint precision o...
I recently played the game and wanted to share my thoughts on it. Simple.
Why should the age and average reception of the title dissuade me from doing something I enjoy?
Olive juice you too. :)
Needless to say, I'm starving to play this game. XD
Interesting review that's tempting me to get ASAP. I liked the 'downs' segment.
Can't statements like "I reserve the right to enjoy this product" AND culturally-relevant statements on games be right simultaneously?
Hope everyone enjoyed the review. Feel free to leave any comments regarding the game, review, or whatnot. :)
Although someone may be inclined to point out the average score from the 5 sections above doesn't quite match up, let me just remind you to...
1.) note the "not an average" portion mentioned below the overall score
2.) Focus on the important sections that made the score plummet
Thank you.
Regardless of where I might stand on the final product, I'm glad to see this Metro building a great amount of hype.
Thank you for that info. :)
"Just look at the pic coolbeans put up there."
D'oh! :P
There's only one fictional character capable of taking the fabled Episode 3:

Way to stay on target, Porkins. :)
And I thought my review was harsh. O_o
