I really enjoyed the Two Towers one back in the day (forget the name of it atm).
"The lesson that sticks in my mind is that whilst everyone can have a different feeling or interpretation of content, it has to be content that is actually in a book/film [or game]."
Considering that even the description notes he's describing what he personally sees within Destiny's plot, it sounds like it actually is content from the game but with his own--admittedly wild--interpretation. I can't verify if everything there is in fact in Destiny's p...
It's one thing to assess and challenge another's written material, but in the context of replying to said author after him being thankful for the recognition...that's giving off a background radition of 1,000 GigaKaynes on the Rude-o-counter.
One...one bad counter AH AH AH!
Two...two bad counters AH AH AH!
Threeve...threeve bad counters AH AH AH!

Congrats winners.
"Congratulations to our august August winners! (I'm hilarious. Laugh now.)"

Always going to puff up your exclusives, eh, N9G?

That linked gif could actual...
In short: you should def play this game.
:P
Well...Borderlands2 went a bit more overboard with those 4 packs, new characters, and those bit-sized DLC packs covering a certain holiday theme (some of those were outside the Season Pass too).
Considering that some new stuff is planned on being added (possibly what's suggested in the article too), it really doesn't seem like exactly the same situation.
And it's not like the changes in stances on this is entirely new. Quite a few seemed hot and bothered with Tomb Raider Definitive initially then TLOU Remastered seemed like a smart business decision.
Would've been interesting to see the sniper rifle. Maybe when shields are down, the shot could pierce through the armor and show tiny bullet holes in the Titan HUD display as a result (only if shot hit the red-lighted spots).
I actually just picked this up last week after hearing about it. Some comparisons were made between it and MK8 after 8's release.
Indeed. It's rather deceiving considering it says "so far" in the title.
"they deserve it not only for the RROD (which is the only reason their sales were so good last gen, so many dead Xboxes they count repaired as sold)"
What? That's not true. Shipping your console back only meant the innards were replaced. That can't count as a sale like it would be to retailers. The actual reason RROD + sales is brought up is by testimony of ppl foregoing that altogether and just buying another 360 when their original got busted.
While I appreciate what's attempted to be presented, I can't say much of what's presented has really swayed me. You're right about how the influx in game during a calender year can influence some things, which has bugged me for quite some time. We can't even get through the year without some GOTY awards being passed around! It'd be great to see something closer to YMS' structure be used. Waiting months after the year's over inclines that more of the year...
"I mean, if N4G is your only source of game news, you could have easily missed it between the really big article being failed (probably due to legal threats) and only an occasional, low heat article about it coming up. "
Late response, but I feel the need to bring this part up. Are you mean that 500+ degree one with the some colorful pic, right? From the response I gathered from the person responsible for failing, there was certainly no kind of legal tension behin...
Really? I thought it was going for 249.99. Maybe I'm thinking of first Windows Kinect.
Note how the overall score mentions "not an average" on the side. And I don't think anyone handing out a 10/10 will ever say the game is totally "perfect" (since there's always going to be a bug somewhere or whatnot), but rather find it to be a masterpiece despite not being absolutely blown away by every aspect of the game.
"they [MS] are the ones who are holding PS4 back as they did with PS3..(most of the third party games developed first for X360 ignoring the extra horse power of PS3)"
The only way MS can be "blamed" in regards to minor differences between 360/PS3 horsepower is for making the "next-gen" system (for its time) that was quite easy to develop for compared to PS3's Cell. The contention was a matter of time and resources rather than behind-the-scen...
I eventually had to give up on that and Tug of War for the blisters I'd usually get.
Totally insane.
The blog doesn't seem to suggest that, but you never know. It's tough to keep track of all the previously-announced games they've had between E3 and Gamescom already so it sounds reasonable those 25 were in the montages before.
MS has a really strange position when it comes to handling its exclusives/console exclusives/whatever you want to consider it. It seems pretty easygoing with "exclusive fluidity," like those One/PC titles (or Fable Anniversary) because they have their hands in that market too in the form of their operating systems.
