More by circumstance than anything else.

-Became a co-owner of a Star Wars PS4 months after it became free.

-Got preoccupied with other games across all 3 consoles + PC during summer and fall of 2015 then saw announcement at Game Awards.

@akurtz

Um...no. I recently signed up to N4G Community on PS4 and I've had one since late last year.

Nothing personal but this kind of kneejerk reaction just comes off as laughable schoolyard argumentation. Starting with a non-argument and ending with what could essentially be interpreted as "well other people like it so take that!"

He didn't like a game you might like and explained why on the internet. Big deal. Typically when there's such a score disparity between reviewers there's a greater chance of having some interesting conversations.

Awesome! Can't wait to play with any of the other (4) hold-outs on here. :P

Send me a message/friend request if interested in playing together.

"If there was a black actor playing a white role...nobody would bat an eye lid."

I guess people already forget the controversy pushed by the Council of Conservative Citizens regarding Idris Elba playing Heimdall back during the first Thor movie.

Aside from a few interesting shows throughout the past years, I'd gladly throw them in with the other hacks if I'm being honest.

They were the cream of the crop early in 7th gen's history, but they've made A LOT of disappointing moves along the way, both in regards to game criticism and site design.

-One of the first premium to introduce those pre-roll ads before EVERY video
-Site redesigns after redesign
-More than willing to ...

An important thing to keep in mind is Quarter to Three goes by the 'Netflix template.' His 'x/5' score isn't some average of the art, gameplay, story, etc. rolled into one; instead, it's just a simple hate it or love it type of deal.

A 2/5 just translates into "I didn't like Firewatch" and that's it.

9. Best DLC (non-episodic content)

-Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

-Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack 2

-Destiny: The Taken King
Took a long time but I'd finally consider it as making the cut as a "good game." Was tough to consider at first (considering all the criticisms you could level at previous DLC) but it did hook me back in on occassion.

10. Best Handheld Console Game (3DS/PS Vita)

-Don't Kn...

Not a definitive list by any means. I should preface this with saying I didn't dive much into the big RPG's + AAA Open World games (so many this year too). Clocked in a health amount of time into stuff like Witcher 3 and ROTR but I don't think I can't have a firm opinion on something like Bloodborne. Just something to keep in mind.

1. Gaming News Story of the Year

-Death of Iwata

That's really the thing grinding against PDZ the worst too. I can totally understand old fans being frustrated with it not living up to the legend but those types of expectations are bound to not be met when putting it up so high with one of the most ambitious console shooters ever conceived.

It showcased some poor design choices but I still had a blast with everything in online multiplayer (+ cheap DLC maps too).

Would it be better to submit our predictions via PM instead of cluttering this comment section up?

Anyways, best of luck to all! :)

I don't think it's possible for it to be 'JKIV' anymore since that's non-canon now. Perhaps a retreading of that structure with what happened to Luke's Academy between Episode VI and VII.

At least it doesn't reek of being a shameless advertising opportunity for late-holiday sales like the plethora of other sites+events (The Game Awards for one) that don't even wait until the year's over. January's typically considered a backlog month so I dig the idea of getting in a few more titles before prepping for next year.

I'd say we're more respectful to the idea of what award ceremonies are about by being late to the party.

@Christopher

Yeah, that makes sense. That was something in the back of my head when I initially saw that one too.

I think best remaster/remake was intended to be on the list. I'll check.

Right..."as few as possible." Got it.

*wink* *wink*

So I only have less than a week to assess other '15 games and provide a definitive nomination list? I won't let you down, Christopher! Not like the countless times my mom says I have! I'll show her! I'll prove her wrong this time!

...

Too much?

Hopefully this gets enough heat for it to broadcast as one of the top stories.

Best way to ensure nobody misses this. :D

As much as I like some of Tony Scott's other work, Man on Fire was quite disappointing. The stupid text-on-screen and visual flair just felt so forced for such a skilled director.

"For each of the below listed award categories, please list your nomination for Game of the Year."

We can also do multiple nominations for each category too, right? There was just so much goodness from 2015! XD

Almost every time I jumped into Iron Banner this week it's been one-sided BS against me. Can't stand when there's rarely any semblance of an even match.

"...will be counted towards The Witness' metacritic score with the same weight as articles from actual game journalists..."

That's may not be the case when you look at metacritic's method of a "weighted average."

If going by their internal logic there, USgamer would probably hold less weight than man...
