"I didn't publish a March Contest blog. Why not? Well, because there was a contest, but I didn't want to advertise it so that people would artificially participate."
Sneaky, sneaky sir. ;)
Congrats to all winners and thanks for putting so much effort into keeping this aggregate site flowing with new info. I only put a lot of effort into submissions for a 2-month span a while ago and I don't know how you guys continually do it. Keep up...
Can't wait for this! Love the hockey mode (not much love from rest of XJuan community though). Now a Rocket League interpretation of my favorite RL sport. :D
I guessing that'll depend heavily on the success of this remake.
Below has a released window of '16 summer now.
"When is Cuphead and Inside coming?"
I don't know. I'm really anticipating a return to the 'Summer of Arcade' sort of promotion with those two headlining it in early August.
@Garethvk
That's a fair point to worry about. They're putting this Season Pass at TWICE the price of even Titanfall, yet that kept to a simple 3-map-per-pack formula within each one.
Historically, season passes often go on some kind of sale within the first year of the title's release. I anticipate a 25%-33% discount to happen during the summer.
I dig the character. Rodian's are pretty played out but he was a unique alien design back in the day.
That stinks. Frictional deserved to turn a profit from the start. SOMA's one of my favorite games of 2015.
I'd be happy to use this opportunity to take a dig at them but...

...I can't deny they are still very relevant. How much of that's relying on only games? I can't say for sure. I don't know how those people put up with their site's video player though. That thing's up there with waterboarding as a legit form of torture.
@Overload
Well...sure, if willing to just go after a specific portion of the text. Otherwise, it has some very telling issues as well. If looking at the full picture, it seems pretty clear that corporate oversight of Sony's (previously-owned) investment bumped heads with the creative team here as well.
"That there wasn't really a game there and the first trailer wasn't accurate."
Partially right. The SMALL sliver o...
"Witcher III is good but it's getting over praised as hell like its revolutionary"
It's funny you'd phrase it like that when I've seen others say the same thing about the other game being talked about here.
@Overload
"Sony gave them stage time and was paying for development."
And Sony's involvement came with its own set of complications AGAINST the creative team as well.

It seems like those rumors of tensions between both parties was true. To already decry these devs like you have in 1s...
'Tis true to have priorities right. And thanks for complimenting my review (you can't edit now tehehe). Oddly enough, Uppercut Games even responded back to this critique in a kind way via Twitter. First time I've received that kind of response. :)
Unfortunately, not all of the 2015 indie games I was hyped for could be gems. The trailer did a great job of selling me on this adventure too. Such a shame.
Thank you very much, TFJWM. :)
"I am looking forward to your Episode 5 review and your feelings on the ending."
Oh boy. It's going to be quite polarizing (tehe!) to say the least, but there'll be a silver lining to it despite my complaints.
Didn't get around to playing it until after the community died. Great to see it back.
Shoot! That would've been another good subtitle for the review. :P
I hope everyone enjoyed the review. Please feel free to submit any comments and/or questions below. May response to some of them MAY be later than expected due to my current IRL work schedule. We'll see how it all works out.
Thanks for the nod and congrats to all other winners.
I think it deserves applause in regards to any visual, music, or voice acting categories but I wouldn't go so far as to include 'Best Story' or 'Game Innovation.' What exactly is the innovation there: an obtuse sprint button or randomly tilting the PS4 controller to trigger the next bit of story?
You can't pretend the two situations are the same:
-Xbox One in early-mid 2013: Made several 180's in policy due to such overwhelmingly negative feedback that forecasted how hard their bottom line would be affected.
-MS' UWP/Build Conference in early 2016: Current policy implementations that foreshadow a much more positive reception by community (EDIT: in comparison to XJuan's reveal in May).
I'm not suggesting it's un...
