Probably have to do some Simon's Quest s*** to get it. I really don't appreciate that kind of game design in a game like MGS.
Honestly, all things considered, it's still done pretty well for a wii u game.
It's only getting price cuts in the UK, where the Wii U sells the worst. In the US i still see it for like 50 bucks, how many games from 2014 are still selling for that? If it wasn't still selling it would've gone down by now.
@MrSec
On top of what everyone else said:
Ultimately, do you think Nintendo made this game look bad with no reason? Just for the fun of it, after making some of the prettiest games this gen despite the weak hardware? No, there's a technical reason.
I think everyone keeps forgetting what exactly is going on with this game from a technical standpoint, it's been stated several times now.
It's running at 60 frames at two separate viewpoints, which is very hard on the hardware. It's basically spitting out 120 frames at once. The only other case where a game was rendering two different 3D areas was TW101, and it dropped to 30 to achieve those sequences.
If you ask me this might be a case where the...
This is ambitious because even though you can beat Bayonetta in around 10 hours, the depth of that game has expanded its life enormously. It wasn't until shortly before the sequel that a definitive guide covering the games complex quirks was released.
Scalebound will probably be a more content rich game rather than a mechanic rich one, which is not my forte but i am still anticipating it.
As a side note Platinum is the greatest success story in the indus...
Yeah Miyamoto produced ONE Metroid game out of like 8. He is not the series producer, Sakamoto and Tanabe are.
Miyamoto only produced Prime 1 because he found the perfect studio to make it and no one else could see this but him. Unless he sees another opportunity like this, why bother soiling the series further with another uninspired game?
Well... its in a different language..
Those are two totally different studios making Metroid and Pikmin...
Its more dependent on what the lead platform is. Even very japanese games that will obviously do better on PS3 like Bayonetta or Metal Gear Rising still run better on 360 because it was ported from that system to PS3.
The minority of multiplats last gen that were PS3 to 360 ports (FFXIII, Vanquish, some others) obviously looked better on PS3.
Also the reason GTA, Red Dead, Fallout, etc perform better on 360 is because open world games were especially difficul...
You clearly don't get what I'm saying because I have agreed with you since the beginning and you just wrote another cluster of paragraphs about something I already stated i believed in the first sentence of this thread :P
Let me reiterate:
1. Like you said, claims need to be proven.
2. Claiming games have ANY effect on crime is an unusual claim.
3. It needs to be proven.
4. Saying games have ANYTHING to do with the crime decrea...
Even if there were they wouldnt buy it. Last gen they had Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, DOA 4, Ridge Racer, Lost Planet, Monster Hunter, Dead Rising, and a ton of visual novels and bullet hell games out within the first few years and the Japanese still didn't bite.
Some of the Japanese exclusive stuff on 360 (mostly bullet hell) is actually really good, so its sad we wont see that return.
I think its fair to say ESRAM is no where near on the same level an issue cell was. We haven't heard anyone complain for a while now.
The cell is what stopped many japanese devs from initially supporting the ps3. They either stuck with the ps2 or even tested the waters with the 360. Ultimately the Wii and PS3 ended up splitting the japanese devs but it took way too long to get there compared to sony's record.
I remember reading that the ps3 and ps4 ar...
Ugh, so lucky.
Sometimes i think people see just how far they can take it before people start disagreeing even if they like sony.
Evidently, he's not there yet looking at the 6 agrees :P
Me too dude! Maybe the Nzap is just the counter to them. I often wipe teams with it, probably japanese ones more than western ones.
Splattershot Pro and Nzap are my go to's, depending on the maps.
I dont have too much trouble with them, i find it funny how much success they have with weapons that the west never uses though. Blasters and brushes are very overlooked but they get insane results with them.
I dont think anyone can deny they s*** themselves when they see that Kanji badass with an S+ rank and a krak-on roller.
I wish i could play it but it sells for like 75 bucks now since it went OOP. Hopefully it gets reprinted under as a greatest hits thing.
Alien abduction has always been the scariest thought imaginable to me. Regardless of whether it was real or not... to have that memory would send me to the psych ward asap.
My gripe wasn't with that though. Like i said, i agree with the assertion that games aren't a serious factor in crime. Same with the fact that crime has gone down.
Its the ambiguity of saying "many attribute this to video games being cathartic". That is a claim in and of itself. Like i said there are a lot of reasons why crime has gone down. Factually, cops and incarcerations have risen enormously in the past 20 years. Also, the advent of a more tightly knit...
I would not want to take on this kind of role at that age. Hopefully he can find a better way to incorporate Nintendo into the modern market.
