Im not gonna say its GOTY or even good without playing it but this is obviously a middle market game which the press has been unfit to judge since around the middle of last gen. Solid games like Singularity, Metro 2033 or Alpha Protocol were also painted scores like 6.5 or 7 simply because they aren't suicidally expensive to produce like AAA games these days.
...and then it turned out to actually be mediocre. Bad example.
I bet the VR games on ps4 will likely often go for a more visually simple aesthetic like this due to how taxing it is on the hardware.
I welcome it, more visual variety this gen.
At least then there wont be production problems..
They should bring back scaphism, or at least hang draw and quarter them.
LOL
Not at all.
It's still very impressive what they could do with such old hardware. The PS3 version might end up the best selling since Japan is slow to adopt new consoles.
The one thing they need to fix is the heist balance between host and non hosts. Its impossible to get people to join a set up. I sat in a lobby for over an hour before watching people come and go. Then when it starts some moron ruins it XD
Screw amiibo. Worse than DLC at this point, because at least i can always buy DLC for a set price instead of whatever some d*ck on ebay wants to charge me.
Indies are a huge pillar of the Wii U's life... including an indie character as a tribute to indies as a whole is not a bad idea.
Yeah i dont expect much. The OG Xbox had the definitive version of MGS 2 and it sold bad.
When the consoles both have x86 though it can't hurt much though. They might lose more money on releasing last gen versions in late 2015
Im curious to see how it sells on xbone
They didnt publish a sequel because early in a systems lifespan is not the time to release a sequel for a game like that.
Now was the perfect time to introduce a new series that revolves around ideas that could make use of the new hardware, hence QB.
Microsoft did a survey recently asking if we'd want to see an hd remake of Alan Wake, it shows they still have interest in that IP.
It didnt sell THAT bad. It and the spin off sold 4.5 million on 360, around there. I think word of mouth has helped it over the years.
Put it for free on games with gold and give it BC on Xbone and you can add more to those anticipating a sequel.
MK8 is weird, because even though the racing and map detail are perfect, it's clear that they sacrificed effort in the battle mode for this. That is my main complaint with MK8, crappy battle mode. I think a map editor is the natural evolution, it's almost certain that it will be the big seller for MK9.
My personal least favorite is still MK7 though. Bad roster, meh maps, not enough innovation.
Interesting ideas with incorporating some of the Diddy Kon...
You can edit your blog and put that in.
I dunno man, those are some straws in your comment too.
Guitar hero and Just Dance are casual games that are on every platform. So is Skylanders.
Also shovel knight? Really? That game came out last year.
I happen to think this is Nintendo's best fall/winter line up in the Wii U's life too. There's no need to point out crappy third party games.
I dont think its the culture that's stopping it, but the retailers. They get pissed if digital games sell for less than the physical ones, they are what's stopping better pricing on digital games.
As soon as someone comes along and has the balls to give people more value with the digital version, like valve did with pc games, i can see physical games becoming collector's items. Maybe disc drives being sold as accessories or only on premium models.
Brutal
Depends on what kind of games you like. Xbone has some great games out and upcoming.
In his mind he purchased the console that appealed to him the most. Who are you to tell him he made the wrong choice?
Nice, i share a birthday with butters360, Justin Bieber and Kesha...
