This is some mad cherry picking. How about the d-pad, the joystick, game design innovations, motion controls (though that fad is all but dead), touch screens, dual screen interfaces which are fastly becoming the norm with the ps4 controller, smart glass, etc.
I could name some incredible Sony innovations, or i could say they made the pocketstation, psp go, and the ps2 eye. Every company made mistakes.
i personally don't get the comparison of bayonetta 2 to a ps3/360 game. This runs at a higher resolution and full framerate, and considering Platinum's best looking 360/ps3 title that came out only a few months ago (metal gear rising) doesn't look half this good, and runs at 720p, i'd say bayonetta 2 looks great.
even the best looking action game of last gen, GoW:A, was only a smidge above 30 frames and 720p.
keep in mind the 360 hasn't been sold in japan for years now. the fact that it took the ps3 damn near 6 years to catch up to the 360, when the 360 wasn't even selling to the largest gaming demographic in the world is an admirable feat.
the reveal of third party games isn't up to him (unless nintendo is financing the 3rd party), it's up to the third parties. it's obvious those third parties aren't comfortable revealing them yet.
this is wrong because the PS3 itself required ridiculous effort to program for. john carmack himself, one of the most respected developers in the industry, said it requires twice as much effort to get a game on ps3 to 360 levels. this is why the ps3 had such crappy ports (orange box, bayonetta, skyrim, red dead, etc).
this is true. pikmin 1 sold just under 2 million units, and pikmin 2 just over 1(though it might have sold more on the recent wii re release). not bad for gamecube games, but it doesn't have the dedicated fanbase the other IP's do. nonetheless it provides unique variety to the growing wii u library.
wonderful 101 though is one of the reasons i want a wii u ;). i love platinum games, they released some of my favorite 360 games
I dont think nintendo would invest millions into a piece of hardware like the gamepad without a lot of ideas on how to use it, and that's what i look forward to seeing.
Time for basic math.
wii u deluxe: 349.99
online is free
comes with a game
349.99 plus tax
PS4 399.99
+50 for online
+60 for a game
510 dollars plus tax
Xbox one 499.99
+60 for xbox live
+60 for a game.
620 plus tax
even when you dont include a second controller, the wii u is significantly cheaper. i could buy a wii u which already comes with a game, and then add ...
i feel like the wii u's desperation will at least not spur more ignorance. nintendo said they were hiring more studios to get the series' fans have been asking for (like star fox or f zero or metroid, or a new IP), im looking forward to the coming years for nintendo's systems.
they FINALLY admitted huh? the slimy bastards!
Seriously though, the title implies this is a crime or something. in the past they said the WW hd remake spawned from them testing the art styles in HD.
How about daggerfall on next gen systems. or oblivion. or morrowind. even those multiplayer ES games from the late 90s everyone hated.
not that garbage game xD.
the gamecube was a powerful system, no one could call the gamecube underpowered. maybe compared to an xbox, but it was a leap beyond the ps2.
Bayonetta 2 is confirmed to run at 1080p, and considering all platinum's games are 60fps and its an action game, its probably 60fps.
Wow bayonetta 2 looks great! can't wait to play it in 1080p. platinum always makes the best use of a system, vanquish is probably the best looking, best running game on 360.

The gamecube and n64 were more powerful than the ps1 and ps2. Even the SNES topped the Genesis, unless you consider those obscure ones like the Neo Geo and such. Getting sick of people acting like nintendo started with the wii...
while complaining about slow exclusives is relevant now, complaining about no games at launch is a year too late, isnt it?
The thing is those games just don't have an audience on nintendo platforms (except GTA 5 that'll sell anywhere). And yo...
never did understand this. its not like the removal of achievements takes out any actual content. the collectibles and extra difficulties are all still there, i don't really care if they're not paraded around with a 100g achievement.
from what i've heard it is 1080p
what the hell happened to the vita?! if anything i thought it'd go up.
there's still over a month until it comes out, just a few commercials showing off the gameplay would boost sales
