He lost me at the beginning. Skyward sword is horribly dumbed down and generic compared to the other 3d zeldas. All of them offer something new except that game.
But imo, a cohesive storyline and less princess saving as well as more complex gameplay with the same open endedness of the 2d games is the right direction. And since theyre supposedly taking influence from the elder scrolls series im thinking the open endedness will be better compared to the linear skyward sword
Double dash, track design aged much better than the bland 64 and even the trick heavy wii mario kart.
I havent bought a new 360 game since 2011. Been playing all the little forgotten gems that dont cost a penny though, decent life support for an abandoned console.
How about take a break from zelda (the character), since the most abscract and interesting zelda games story-wise dont have her in them. Or reboot the series and give it a cohesive storyline :P
Hey im not saying the wii u wont pale in comparison to the ps4, that is fact. What im saying is its not a 360 either. You people act like the thing is a damn atari, it can still produce quality games without ps4 specs. The system offers a completely different experience than the ps4 does, with completely different games and a completely different controller. It isnt even comparable to a ps4, its apples to oranges.
No one smart is buying a wii u to play a half assed version of ps4 games.
Compared to nintendo's own consoles? Of course it's more powerful than their other stuff. Should i compare it to the gamecube, or compare the ps4 to the ps2 lol? The wii u is NOT trying to be a ps4 or an xbox one, i wouldnt buy a wii u to play a gimped version of battlefield 4. I'll buy it to play games neither of the other platformd have, and to be able to play them in a completely different way.

A lot of their biggest releases haven't come out yet. I think by the end of the year after rayman, watch dogs and black flag and more have come out they'll be in good shape.

Hes got 2 games exclusive with platinum (including the revival of a dead franchise with bayonetta 2), 3 exclusive sonic games with sega, and fire emblem x shin megami tensei. In my opinion he's on the right track.

It was designed around standard definition, looking at 90% of the games on wii in HD wouldnt be pretty. Excluding nintendo titles and high end 3rd party stuff, obviously.
Now it has the same problem as Origins... released in a competitive month for games alongside GTA fucking 5.
I think it would have sold better in febuary on a market with no competition, on a system with hungry gamers. But the finished game will clearly benefit from the extended time, so im not complaining. Maybe it will sell okay, we shall see.

The gameplay and brilliant design of the old thief games is long gone. Instead of making a relatively loyal follow up like these guys did with deus ex: human revolution, theyve reinvented the wheel and made a damn square.
I think niche titles like pikmin 3 and bayonetta 2 will cement a reliable and loyal fanbase, while heavy hitters like mario and zelda will get people off their ps4's as well as attract younger audiences.
If theyre wary to give it a big budget since star fox sales havent been the best, they should make it a budget title and release it on the eshop. Same with f-zero :)

Yeah, 3 main games but also 3 prequels (the 2 on psp and ascension) and they all play the same.
I mean not exactly the same, playing god of war 1 is different than 3, but compared to the kind of evolution in devil may cry 1-4 where entire systems and new innovations came with each installment (except dmc 5) or even just other action titles like bayonetta the god of war games dont compare as well, and i think its because the gameplay is getting too samey.
