ah just like the dreamcast had k&m
been waiting for this, now pc-oriented games could come to ps4 that would simply be too complex for a controller
something tells me you really like sony
i dont know, just a hunch
i think instead of doing a full retail F-Zero release, (which we all know wouldn't sell well, only the snes game sold particularly well) they should release it as a budget title on the eshop for 15-20 bucks. get sega to do it, give it online, some good looking graphics then market the shit out of it and make a quick buck.
he said he'd like to see it return, he just personally didn't know where to take the series
people, there is ONE MARIO KART for every nintendo system. one on wii, one on 3ds, one on wii u. that's far from milking. milking would imply they release one every one or two years on the same system just to get more money.
i dont understand the disagrees personally. i enjoyed my wii for 3 solid years, but as soon as i joined all my friends on 360 and we had a blast playing online games and such, a online coop mario is a dream.
the fact that nintendo won't take things beyond the couch is really frusturating, especially with my mario buddy moving 6 hours away -_-
i agree to an extent. the platforming in galaxy was spot-on. the nonlinearity and open world nature of sunshine and 64 was better though.
i think super mario multiverse would suffice :P in which mario jumps into tangential timelines, alternate realities, and abstract universes. imagine a retro universe, a universe in which mario is the villain...
almost too ambitious, maybe i should patent that...
how about you let the game come out before you completely trash it. I seriously doubt nintendo's going to keep it as simple as 3D land. from the little gameplay we've seen, there's already way more variety than there was in that game. plus the coop looks fun.
3rd party support has always been lacking on nintendo consoles, in fact i think the wii u is getting comparitively decent support. they got two games from platinum, and they already hired the indie armikrog team as a ...
all great games, all in the wrong order :P
bioshock infinite the 18th best game released this year? its a bit overrated but not fucking 18
steam is free.
the VC is great on the wii, and i think it'll be better on wii u with the inclusion of gamecube games. in my opinion it had the best catalog of old games vs the 360 and ps3. with all the n64 and snes games the other 2 couldn't get.
that's actually a pretty spot on comparison. or how the prime games used an old character with a very different experience. gave samus more depth and charisma than she ever had, without even saying a word.
but there are examples on the opposite side of things too.
yeah, because the first thing people want to do after spending 400+ dollars on a next gen console is drop another 250 for the vita.
It had some marketing but the main reason it sold well was the fact that METAL GEAR was in the title. Bayonetta also had a fairly sizeable marketing campaign, but it was so tailored to japanese audiences from the beginning with all the trailers focused on sexuality and partial nudity that it alienated americans.
When you think of something so radical and different it's impossible to apply to an existing series. like the tech demo for mario 128 became pikmin, and that shows that you can throw mario into just about anything, really.
take the 3D land subseries for example. it's mario, clearly. but if you slapped a different art style, new characters and atmosphere into essentially the same gameplay, and you have a new IP. that's a good thing. new ip's breed new fans, and more nos...
what i'm saying is most pc gamers upgrade their build within 7 years. the reason your point is completely invalid is that i didn't NEED to run last of us 7 years ago. but now? i can run games that look much better than the last of us.
"your pc can't run a game that'll come out in 7 years!"
what you fail to grasp is that in 7 years, i CAN run a game i couldnt run 7 years ago.
and pc gaming is no where near that expensive either xD
history repeats itself? the xbox was miles ahead of the ps2 graphically (the gamecube was more powerful too), that's why it got pc ports like thief and doom 3 and half life 2 that the ps2 couldnt run. the ps1 was less powerful than the n64. the ps3 is the odd one out, given that being number one in terms of graphics wasn't the case with the first 2 consoles.
it's just a tech demo, not a representation of any game, so the t rex is coincidental. most tech demos are just to emphasize the power of the console, number of polygons and animations, etc. like the dreamcast tech demo is complete nonsense, but still very impressive.
every system since the first MK.
super mario kart - snes
64 - n64
