I was talking hardware. I'm going to bet somewhere around 100-150k on launch week, not much of a decrease the next week because of bundle shortages. Being optimistic.
Overall in the coming months the baseline of the wii u's weekly sales will rise to a level on par with the xbox one (keeping in mind the wii u is sold in japan). This is assuming Nintendo markets the free game deal ending July 31st as well as the bundle continuously.

The real question is how much hardware it shifted.
This is probably the best launch for an exclusive this year so far. Over 20% of owners went out and bought this game within 3 days, unless the hardware sales bump it to less than 20%. Either way, this shows an insane level of dedication to first party software.

Sorry but DmC is an objectively sub-par game. It simplifies complex game mechanics, had crap writing and a crap main character, and fails to run at an acceptable framerate like real action games like Bayonetta, DM...
Alternatively, they could be sticking with this console LONGER than usual to ensure it makes a profit for them. That's why last gen went on for so long, MS and Sony wanted to make money back.
Also the new console is no big deal, because they've said they're always thinking of new ideas for hardware.

Honestly it holds up so well that i don't think it needs to be remade again. REmake STILL looks good. I bought it again when they ported it to Wii just so i can play it on my Wii u.

Actually there's a lot, too many maybe. Game and Wario, Wii Party U and Nintendoland. I think they should focus their devs on less party games, really.

The real question is, would you call it such if 4 men died instead of women, and would this article exist if that was the case?
